It's not competition that helps consumers; it's because private property rights are protected. People are given the right to enjoy the success of the product on which they risked their wealth. If 'competition' is the holy keyword, state-controlled means of production would've been successful in creating multiple state-owned companies to compete with each other. Please don't parrot this buzzword; try to research where this buzzword came from and what the person actually said about creating artificial competition that infringes on liberty. We don't need another 'mixed economies' supporter who learns economics from Reddit.

The Wooting definitely has the better product no doubt, but it's awesome to see new competitors adopting the rapid trigger feature. At least we will soon have varying options to choose from. Right now, the Razer Huntsman Mini Analog is on sale for $95 and originally retails for $150. Compared to the Wooting, this might actually fit in some people's budget.

I've got the keyboard and its implementation at the very least is far superior to razer's, I emulated the test he was doing where slight raises would keep registering as an input on the razer to see if it was just a decent implementation like razer but nope, worked perfectly. Then again they do have actual analog hall effect switches too so the tech was always there and this was my exact rational when buying it half a year ago seeing I didn't wanna wait months and wanted a tkl board so I've been hoping it would be added. It has been worth the wait imo. Oh yeah and basically a more precise version of this test can be done a website called "keyboard scan rate tool" where it'll give you a latency figure from when you pressed to when u released, the number itself doesn't matter but u can confirm that its working when u bottom out and a number shows up when u release the key and even when intentionally moving the key up as little as possible, it'd register every time I saw my key actually move.

I hope Steelsearies does something like this for the Apex pro. I thing it should be doable and the actuation is quite precise.

I think the Huntsman Analog came first really, but the switches are terrible since every single one of them has stabs lol.

Wooting wants people to copy their design. They literally said they were open with all their designs and they always talked about how they built it. They want the average keyboard to have their design and use analogs instead of the typical switches. Idk what u mean by copying bro 😂

I had to wait about 8 months for my keyboard to arrive from Wooting. Wish they had options for heavier springs or something with better ergonomics. I had to duct tape their wrist rest to the keyboard.

Corsair K70 max is probably best at setting up actuation distance with its magnetic mechanical switches, and setting 2 actions on 1 key depending how far you press down the button
@EnryuGod
@EnryuGod Жыл бұрын
Difference is the Razer is just a Laser signal that is broken by a barrier until you hit the switch then it triggers the keypress. The Wooting is a laser firing up the switch measuring the distance and as soon as it changes it triggers the keypress. Razer cant copy that with just Firmware.

Try the new huntsmans with gen2 analog optical switches , from what ive seen online , the rapid trigger now is pinpoint accurate , some are saying it kinda even feels better than wootings , and it has 8k polling.

Really though how come we didn't get this before by now. The rapid trigger feature is just great. Now for others to follow! I'd really like more refined switch with granular range option, but also lower total travel switch like 3mm and just custom set actuation point etc. Want TKL ISO though.
SteelSeries just copied Wooting.
