When I saw the first Transformers live action film another Dad was sitting beside me with his young son, who was maybe five. When 🚛Optimus🤖 made his first on-screen appearance, the father jumped straight out of his seat - in a packed theater - and started shouting and pointing, looking back and forth between the screen and his son - saying over and over again, "Do you know who that is? That's Optimus Prime. That's my BOY! That's Optimus!" His son was confused and excited, but only because his father was so wound up. I will never forget that 30-something Dad transforming into a kid that day, the rest of the audience laughing with him. There are a lot of things they got wrong, but Optimus was spot on. I only wish you had some Peter Cullen footage to add here, because this is a wonderful explanation of the care that went into honoring this cherished character, and explaining why they made the compromises they did.

Not impossible but I heard that the cameras they used couldn’t capture it well enough but in the 3rd they used different cameras which is why you got Dino,lead foot and sentinel
