I would like to thank Ridiculous Rides for sharing our story with Transformers fans around the world. I built Optimus Is Here (with a lot of help from many people) to inspire my son that he should never be afraid to pursue his dreams, no matter how far fetched they may be. I'm just an ordinary dad (and no...I'm not independently wealthy) who decided to try something I've always dreamed of, and something no other fan has done before. This was (still is) the most difficult project I've ever taken on in my life. But my hope through this is that my son will grow up one day and take on a world of opportunities with no fear. I also very much enjoy sharing it with all of you. Oh and for those who have the common responses like "so what...it doesn't transform/ it's just a paint job"...say what you will. My response - he's a robot in disguise. He's not supposed to transform. And in the eyes of the thousands of children we meet each month, he is real...he is EPIC...and he is an inspiration" ;) ROLLLL OUT!!!

What makes this truly inspirational was that you showed your son that you are always above life even in difficult times. This build is a reflection of that, there would have been a fair amount of hurdles that were in your way and possibly sometimes you just wanted to put the wrench down and walk away, but your son's eagerness is fuel for your willpower to complete it to the end. I've been waiting for the day for someone to build the Western Star version of Prime and your sir did not dissapoint! Well done for building such a masterpiece and sharing it to many fans all over! :D Out of curiosity how long did this entire build take?

Thank you! And yes - on more than one occasion I was ready to "put the wrench down" lol. It took about 5 months and involved a team of about 25 people total from all different walks of life and experience. But since then we've had to do a ton of repairs to the original work, so I guess you can say it's never truly "done" :) Hope you'll continue to follow our adventures :)

Holy Wowness! I haven't been more impressed since I first saw all 5 of the Transformers movies, I didn't think that anyone could create a replica of one of my top favorite Autobots. I adore Optimus Prime and this is just a true sight to behold, what I wouldn't give to have that truck and even Bumblebee in front of my house or even any of the others. This is one of my favorite styles for Optimus Prime and if my friend Amber saw this she would probably faint. Please keep surprising people!

My husband is 2nd generation truck driver. A guy ran out in front of hubby's semi to commit suicide. It ended his career and destroyed him. I told him to come home. When he walked in the door I said give me the keys, you're done. It took that for him to realize his career was done. He sold his business, bankrupted and earlier sold his house. So sad to see what it has done to him. When this popped up on KZbin one day he was talking about it. He likes all the changes and the horns lol. You did a great job.
