Another tip (to save time aligning the input buttons). Place the top button at the right height in your Group, likewise for the last/bottom, with one button as far left as you want them. Then right click select one option button and Ctrl+Shift to select others. Go to ribbon Page Layout/Align (under Arrange) then first click Distribute Vertically followed by Align Left. Job done!

Here is a tip: If you hold an "alt" when you draw a object it will position it to the cell itself.

I have 4 independent button options on one sheet. No matter what I do (and I have repeatedly done exactly what you say, step by step), the buttons remain linked. I start each button set from scratch. But choosing an option in one set, cancels the selection from any other set. Can you HELP?!
