This is nice I guess. The Low Gain Short Bus does this with more switches, mutes, inputs, and outputs in one 6hp module. That, and you can change which output the input is merged to without moving patch cables.

The Short Bus is great, I have the original yellow panel version. As an OR switch it does similar things and as you say is that bit bigger and with more channels and routing options. There's no hard A/B switch on it like this though and of course this is smaller and might suit more people. Good to mention alternatives but we'd be here all day if we got to comparing every module.
