When a person has challenges with their gums and teeth they need all the assistance possible. Be careful as it mostly catches up to us when you older. Brushing your teeth is a lifetime commitment and not something you do later on in life. I am personally going through it right now trying to save my gums and teeth. I am watching this video to try understand how best to use the technology but every little bit helps.

I just got this toothbrush because I got a cavity for the first time in my almost 40 years on earth and was hoping not to get another! I must admit I was skeptical because I’ve never spent a lot of money on a toothbrush and I honestly feel like I’ve had a professional cleaning after I brush my teeth now and love the clean feeling!

Just purchased this Genius 8000 from Best Buy for $94! I feel like I got a steal lol. I will use it tonight and I hope that it aids me in improving my oral health.. I have been using a waterpik sonicare toothbrush but I feel like that one only vibrates lol. So the oscillating bristles on the oral b shall be beneficial. Plus, I have braces and was told a cavity now so I’m vowing to do better! Lol the tech aspects just make you WANT and enjoy brushing your teeth.

My son's dentist just conned him into buying one from him, he doesn't even own a cell phone which the dentist knew but my son thought it was more of a heavy duty tooth brush and not a "smart brush". They also tacked on a large list of things for a simple cleaning and cavity filling. I would never go to an Aspen Dental after hearing this.

@@KadalaK Yep, they are scammers, they wanted to charge my son $4,800 to pull 4 wisdom teeth that were causing excruciating pain and said the surgent would have to come from out of town and he would have to wait three weeks. This was on top of the $900.00 for the first visit which only included cleaning, x-rays, tooth whitening, and several high priced mouth washes and of course the fancy tooth brush that he couldn't use correctly. He called a local oral surgeon that got him in the next day and did it for $1,400.00 total including sedation.

The position location and the use of camera is a big hassle. I hate the idea that I need to have my iPhone with me when I brush my teeth. BTW I do have this tooth brush and just don't like this specific feature. Rest are fine

Roman Platinum i brush twice a day everyday with a timer and still got gum disease. So yes it is a problem that exists. Had to have injected antibiotica today. Wish i had this a long time ago

This brush doesn't solve gum disease. You can count to 30 seconds on each quadrant of your mouth and you'll essentially be using your brain to do what this brush does, just without the ridiclous apps, mirror holder and pricetag. The only use I can see for this brush is for people who don't know how to count. The actual brush is the same as any other Oral-B model, uses the go pro brushead. The only real difference between this model and the cheaper models is position detection, which again you can do the same thing simply by counting.

The Oral b app allows you to remove the quad pacer if don’t like it. And if want to brush more the app allows you to change the brush time. The maximum you can increase to is 4:00 minutes. Which means you’ll brush each quadrant for 1min each.

I have a "regular" OralB electric brush with a timer on it that uses the same brush heads as this. For $100 less than the price of this brush I can count to 30 seconds on my own. And I don't have to spend 30 seconds setting it up, hanging a phone on the mirror - only after dropping it into the sink. Now I'm here watching this as I just won a Genius brush from my dentist's sponsor booth at a local marketing show. I just could not imagine what bluetooth on a toothbrush could be for. Now I know - it's for making it pretty colors and for letting your phone be the timer rather than your brush. It's for the phone-in-hand addicted millennial. So, anyway, I have on for sale new in box, if anyone is interested in the stupid thing.

does it not bother any one else that your smart phone knows more about you than you do. tried the water pic genx 20000 last night and i am telling you what i wouldn't have my phone in the bathroom any way but more water got on me and the mirror than on my teeth i found no water pressure and its really heavy. awkward to hold and the real game breaker for me was the needing your phone in the bathroom. next there will be a app to track your sexual activity .. all this goes into the cloud. strangers know more about your habits than you do. how do i use this crap with out the internet does blue tooth clean my teeth for me if not keep your crap i am really pleased with the toothbrush but i do not like the internet conectivaty and the you must have the app and phone in the bathroom
