The stress this causes to other drivers on the road is well more detrimental than retiring the chase even if you're technically not supposed to by training. The plates were ran, serve the warrant and investigate - it was a suspended license for goodness sake. Most reckless people including this officer couldn't care less about other people's safety or well-being and that's a major problem everyone faces daily in our society.

@georgeb1364

The Arkansas troopers leadership need to realize that so many times these pursuits are a danger to everyone out there. Why keep chasing at such high speed with the bad guy out of sight? The trooper seems to be on a joy ride. Officer you are risking your career, life of yourself and others and perhaps criminal and/or civil punishment, god forbid, if an innocent person is injured or killed due to you needlessly continuing a pursuit. Adrenaline often clouds good judgement therefore Arkansas State Police leadership needs to update policy to guide troopers about high-speed pursuits and PITS to protect the public. Yes I like to watch these videos as they are exciting but police work should not be considered a sporting event!

If the officer is doing 130mph and the challenger is doing 160mph: every 1 minute, the Challenger gains half a mile on the patrol car. In this 6 minute chase, the challenger could easily be 3 miles ahead of him, or more depending on how much he tested then limits.

If this trooper is 20 something and brand new, he may care. But, any cop with more than 10 minutes on the job doesn't feel any humiliation over this garbage. The vehicle we drive on duty is issued to us, it isn't something we built ourself in the garage. So, it performs however it performs. If someone has a faster car and speeds away, good for them. There are plenty of other drivers that don't. It's that simple. There isn't a vehicle on the planet that can outrun a warrant and radio. No need to care about horse power.

They asked the only chopper in the area reporting traffic to try to keep up and report it's position. But even with the helicopter maxing out it's air speed, the car just got further and further away. When the camera zoom was maxed, the car was just a red dot. Chopper had to return to home base to refuel.

To wreck the hellcat driver out at 130 and possibly kill both of the drivers or atleast seriously injure them. Just use the radio and alert all areas. The guy has to stop eventually. CNt be that hard to find a orange hellcat with that plate. Atleast wreck him out when he is going slower and thinks he got away or idk something. A ticket not worth a life. If the guy just shot up a daycare then ya wreck him out at 200 mph it justified.
