Got an awesome deal on a used one of these! Looking forward to trying it, I for one am a fan of dirty octave up effects for bass! Have been using a Way Huge Purple Platypus for a while. The fur coat looks like it'll do the same job but better as the fuzz is way more gnarly 🙌 awesome video guys!

Didn't expect my comment to end up in this video! That was a nice surprise. And yes, I bought it. Really love it, but beware - it's a beast! I usually have the fuzz on the lowest setting and can sometimes wish that it could go even lower. I rarely use the octave, maybe because I already have an octave up pedal that makes the sound better, but if you don't have an octave pedal it is a nice feature if you want to play more guitar-like songs on the high frets.

Fur coat has Silicon diodes, and germanium transistors. Love this pedal, btw! Keep up the killer work guys!

Hope you get a chance to check out the compressor as well, I think it's the Kongpressor or something like that?. And I agree the orange stuff is very durable. Nope. Every tone is straight into the Fur Coat, then the amp. No bi-amping or LS-2 on this one.

Idk what it is, but when the octave is turned on, the only difference I hear is a volume boost. I don't hear an octave up

Nope. I never use another pedal unless I’m explicitly showing it on screen and using it for a specific purpose.

Welp I'm still waiting. It sounds like the ordeal loses low end too easily when the octave is engaged and prominent, which is how I use the Foxx tone.
