very helpful. I own orange pi 5 rk3588s 8gb and agree with everything you said. i love the brut power of this solar powerable sbc but the running and mainlining requires a bit of finesse. if i bought again i would definitely get 16gb ram.

I think they should have ram offerings, and comparing it to iphone isnt right. Iphone is a consumer product, where most of them dont even know what ram is for, so this would introduce confusion. These boards are often used for diy projects, hobby, development etc, and having options is the right. Often 4 gb is enough, if it works as headless units for certain projects. BTW, great video.

More ram wont harm you and more options will HARM the price which is a bigger issue that is why I say dont have ram option
