bizhiki, Respect. If you go into the conversation angry and defensive the conversation will go nowhere and both parties will have learned nothing.

I'm in Australia and my ancestory is entirely, as far as I know, European but I've always been curious about and fascinated by Indigenous American culture and I'm so glad the internet and social media is opening up more ways to learn about it on this side of the world then were available even back in the 90's when I was a kid! 😊

I've good experience w/ smudging but also a very bad one almost fatal. My mother in law's income is usually from house renting. This house had been vacant for almost a year, so she decided to move in (well, empty house tends to crumble faster). During the moving, a mover asked whether there's someone in the house although there wasn't. The day before she moved in, my wife had a dream of many spirits in that house. My cousin who has the "ability" once visited the house and confirmed my wife's suspicion, and asked her sister to find someone who knows these things. Her insurance clients was asked and willing to help, using some kind of a Catholic ritual using color paper etc. This time I had a dream of those paper like a blanket flying to cover me and the bed I was sleeping. Ofc I reacted by blocking it. The cousin said it isn't working. I live in the US while my in-laws live in another country. So I took a flight and visit. I only visited the house once and I saw shadows zapped from the kitchen to one of the bedrooms. Also the wall facing the neighbor has rough vibrating energy. So I gave her the sage and told her to pray "only the good and peaceful energy can come and stay in this house" while smudging. Right after I went back to the states, she felt choked, couldn't swallow anything not even water. Ended up in a hospital for a month. Long story short, we managed to find a person to move the group of spirits and bind them to a river, and place a boundary to the house with oil. He said my in-law rudely trying to expel the group. Just a cautionary tale.

Hi Mallory, I live in Montreal decided to visit the fort de la Montaigne the site of the first residential school under the French rule era 1600’s. From the original fort all is left was the two towers each one was about 2-3 floors in height .Towers were round and tapered at the top was narrower than the wider bottom, with cone type roofs from what I remembered. Each had a door. Once I got on site I felt kind of anxious but then decided to read the placards that explains the history of the site, when I got half way through I felt the hackles of my neck stand up. From the left tower I heard a group of children crying.I went up and searched around for the crying children but noticed when I passed by the door that is when I noticed the crying was from within the tower behind the door which was locked. I tried walking around the tower noticed a gun slit looked into it , could have sworn I saw something but not sure what I saw. Mallory do you think I should go back to that tower & do a smudge for the souls or should I just leave it alone?
