The orangutan is doing what it's supposed to do because it's locked up in a enclosure area instead of the orangutan being free and in the wild the way that is supposed to be. Instead of as humans we can find these precious creatures in a cage and sometimes even barely they get fed and they get treated nicely by people. If the orangutan was left alone the guy would have never had any of this happened to him in the first place.

For those who don’t know this man didnt just go in there he was taunting and messing with the orangutan. Due to this when he got close the Orangutan attacked. But in typical orangutan fashion he scared him but didn’t truly try to harm him. This animal could’ve literally broke his legs if he wanted. Orangutans are one of the most intelligent and strongest primates but they are also one of the most docile who typically won’t kill. Now let this had been a silver back 😅. This guy is lucky.

As per usual people cut it up to fit whatever narrative leaving no context to those who never saw the full clip. @@kazama246 yeah orangutans are rather gentle with us in general. They probably know they can hurt us easily. There’s a doc on nat geo where scientist studied both wild Orangutans, chimpanzees, and silver back gorillas. They were all actually very nice to us. But the Silver back gorillas tend to be way more rough with us. Almost like they know they can hurt us so they are softer but are still a bit too much. Chimpanzees get bored of us rather quickly but are generally way more harsh because they are smaller than us so they feel we can take it [they seem to think of us as a jungle gym 😂]. Orangutans though are both soft and gentle and they are fond of us. They don’t grow bored with us too quickly and seem to find us fascinating. They were the gentlest of 3. So I’m not surprised this orangutan let him go Scott free with just a scare.
