Sweet baby, just look at that smile on his face. Mommy and baby look so happy. That sweet boy isn’t going to let a disability slow him down! Thank you so much AT for sharing this one…it’s lovely!

He’s just grinning.😁 Enjoying playtime with mom. I know with human little ones they do wait until they’re a little older before performing the surgery for the same reason. My sister and a cousin went through the same procedure and now have children and grandchildren. When the time comes, keep us updated. I will be praying for him. 🥰❤️❤

Precious baby. I do hope we hear something about his surgery. He has to be very uncomfortable from the swelling and I would imagine it is affecting his movement. It looks like the hernias have gotten larger. Prayers for Jingga and Jarang.

@4salways, you are really asking for way too much. In my experience the longest I can record is 12 minutes and that makes the file so big I struggle to upload on my editing apps. I only use my phone and I'm sure Ape Tracker probably have much more sophisticated equipment but one hour would be messy and probably boring, and frustrating to watch. If filming these guys is anything like filming at other zoos. The apes move around, sometimes quite fast amd you have to fight with other visitors to be able to get a decent view, moving from window to window, and you end up having loads of people who might not want to be filmed, faces and heads blocking the view. It's really hard to just to get 10 minutes, let alone unedited or longer. I wonder if what you are really wanting to see is the whole picture of what is going on in the room like what is Jinga doing while Jarangs trying to climb, where are they in relation to each other when sleeping. It's tough if you can't visit the zoo yourself, I get it and I have found that one of the most frustrating parts of watching many videos from many different channels of ape troops, orangutan groups. Again this is my experience but trust that the person filming is honest and is showing you and comenting the truth. There is absolutely no reason for any channel to give a false narrative, in almost all cases. If Ape Tracker says Jinga is playing and being more gentle or whatever they say then that is what they see, and they are the ones who are standimg there for hours watching the boring bits, editing the bits where a head got in the way or they got bumped and ended up jerking the camera around. Nothings perfect though and what you are asking for is almost impossible (in my opinion) except for a web cam or going there yourself. Sorry .

How many animals care for their young when they are disabled or ill..not many, it is simple necessity. This mum is exceptional! I hope to God of all creatures that it works out well for this little one ❤️

When is he getting his surgery?
@linnaellis2125 күн бұрын
That poor little guy, looking at his hernia(s), they are limiting him. If it were a comparable size in a human, the person would have some limited mobility too. I do understand why the zoo vets are waiting on a repair though, it makes sense. Jarang is doing remarkably well in spite of his limitations. ❤

I think these thoughts too. I suspect this is why he doesn’t eat solid food.
@shawna66834 күн бұрын
Same here. Maybe the issue is the cost of the special vet and the cost for the zoo staff to provide Jarang with post operative care.

To beging with, I don't believe there was a first surgery. There's no way he had being operated and returned to mom's enclosure. I know that my comments aren't what most of the followers of this page expect, but time will tell how big is Jarang's physical and neurological damage. And, believe me, I pray to be wrong in this matter.

He is getting stronger and seems quite happy. I am just worried now that he has a hernia on both sides of his little scrotum. It will become uncomfortable for him. I wonder when the Zoo will do the surgery?
@janetseidlitz59765 күн бұрын
They are probably waiting for him to grow a little so there is enough soft tissue and skin to close the defect.

That's not what's wrong with him, don't be daft. He has a bilateral scrotal hernia and development problems from birth. If she was harming Jarang, the staff would never have left him in her care.

@@msdeviantdizzy There is an Ape Tracker video that show Jarang being carried on Jingga’s foot and hitting his head on one of those huge wooden beams. ( one event we know about, could be others, logically) I hate thinking it, but I do wonder if Jingga has harmed the lovely baby she loves so dearly.
