I'm sick and tired of the distorted narrative about Orania. Orania is a farm that was bought by one Afrikaner (white Afrikaans-speaking man), and they later formed a community of people who share the same culture. Anybody is allowed in SA to do whatever they want on their property, as long as they don't discriminate against other people or infringe on anyone's rights. Therefore, in the case of Orania, there have never been reports of any person of a different race being denied access to the place based on the colour of their skin because no black person has ever shown any interest in living in Orania. In the same way, no white person has ever shown interest in living in black townships or rural villages. Denying people access would be illegal, it goes against our constitution, and the authorities would have been forced to act. People are behaving as if this is unique only to South Africa. There are towns like Orania in the USA where only Amish people live, and nobody complains about them. It is the same thing. A group of people with the same background who want to preserve their culture. What is wrong with that.
