For the past few years I've transitioned from a novice beader to an intermediate beader. This is all because of you. You're a wonderfully clear and concise teacher. I live in Norway where beading isn't as mainstream as knitting. There aren't any bead shops in my area nor are there aren't any classes. I have taken a stringing class about 5-6 years ago, which helped with the anatomy of a bracelet. But if it weren't for you and others on KZbin like you, I wouldn't know what I know today. So thank you for all the time you dedicate on your designs and your tutorials. Thank you

Love these! Thanks, Kelly. I wear my "Herringbone Hoop Earrings" A LOT, and these "Orb Earrings" have a 'similar' look, but made in peyote and netting. Very nice design! Construction moves quickly. I can see a lot of these earring/bracelet sets being made for Christmas gifts! :-)

I just got finished making one of the earrings and it turned out absolutely beautiful and the design is easy and fun to make, as I was beading and looking at the earring, I think a ring would be really beautiful as well! Use the same pattern but the size of your finger, I'm going to give it a go ;) LOVE your designs Kelly and you are an awesome teacher!!! Keep up the great work !!

Yes, only make it so the whole ring is small enough to go completely around a finger. That would be a beautiful ring!!

These are beautiful! There was extra thread on the ends having cut the full 2 yards, so by going around again with each side you not only strengthen the orb, but it's an excellent way to pull the delica beads back to center again. Just be careful you don't pop a 15/0, like I did on the LAST bead, ugh!!! Too many passes!

@ladierose10218 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly: I can't get the delicas to stack side by side. I ripped it apart SEVERAL TIMES but they wouldn't stack like that. The Fireline twisted, and wouldn't cooperate at all. I'd like some help or I have to move on to another project. The earrings and bracelet are gorgeous but not working for me.

can they be made a bit smaller? I really like them but they are too large for me.
@sarajanehaven8 жыл бұрын
A bit large for me also. Starting with a base of 48 beads will give you an earring the size of a quarter vs. half dollar. It works up exactly the same as the 60 bead base. I tested this smaller version using 3mm pearls instead of bicones and like how it came out. I found though, that I had to use 3 15/0 vs. 2 in the last step as my 15/0s had less coating than Kelly's and left thread showing otherwise.
@Cammks8 жыл бұрын
I wanted to make these earrings smaller than the size Kelly used. I love the pattern and am thinking of making the bracelet too. Thanks for the info on the beads to make these smaller.
