Orba First Impressions - Kevin Dann

For this Orba first impression, we invited our friend Doctor Dann to explore the sounds of the kalimba, harp, and a few surprises. Kevin Dann authors books, leads historical bicycling tours of New York City, and is a lyrical troubadour.
The first sound you hear is a sample from Arcade by Output, the kalimba and harp are stock Logic Pro sounds, and that saxophone is SWAM by Audio Modeling.

Are these instruments from the orba app?

I don't think so, they are probably using samples and/or vst and other plugins with a daw or midi to other things

Yeah that was my question, probably more like it’s bluetoothed to Native Instruments resampled instruments or something like that... otherwise the samples for a library like that would be 20gb+

Its a nice device but nothing like what you are hearing. Of their first impressions videos this is the only one playing the stock voices. The other videos are using thousands of dollars of gear to create the sound and play the high end samples you will never have access to. There are a few moments where they are using stock sounds but almost all of these are expensive samples. And while they didn't say it hear almost all of their lying deceitful first impressions promotions are powered by Logic Pro X software.

​@@Artiphon Thank you for being polite. I was in a bit of a rage last night because I discovered there is no way for me to transfer my sample files to my Orba 2 because Android can't do it and my IOS device has USB C, not a lightning connector. And then I also learned I can't use my expensive bluetooth earbuds with Orba. So I got really ticked of my purchase was sparked by the Margie first reaction video among others. And I saw most of these videos were using expensive equipment and samples not available. However one of the artiphone reps informed me the Margie video was using Garage Band. If thats the case. I will go back to all the "first impression" videos slammed last night and either delete some of my posts or soften them.
