no its not.... seeds do not need nutrition at couple first weeks.... seeds ARE nutrition.... (read about cotyledon) possible because was too wet for too long made it mold and die. probably will be possible if could keep only moist and not damp

It looked like the orbees were difficult for the plant to push through when germinating. Nutrients wouldn’t be a factor as the seed provides enough nutrients for the cotyledon (first leaves) to grow. There may be a lack of oxygen in the orbees as well but idk because I’ve never handled them. Though I’ve handled water crystals/gel and they look similar to me

Plants need a variety of nutrients, all of which are found in dirt and air. The water bubbles probably have almost none of those, so the plants don't grow and will die quickly.

Water beads are made out of water (95%). Just water should be enough for germination. I think it has to be something about PH levels. @@thyrical
