Well this scratches that itch doesn't it? I love the whole extreme metal/death metal growl thing, but the songs tend to all sound the same and if there's never any contrast the heavy doesn't seem so heavy, enter melody. The issue with bands that mix in melody is they don't often do it very well or they take it too far and the transitions are jarring in a bad way. These guys weave the two brilliantly.
