There's more than one way to be a good vocalist, and Niklas is top tier in his field imo. Åkerfeld and Niklas is atleast, my favorite two time combo. Alex is a beast tho :p

We met Niklas after their show in Dresden this year. He‘s such a wholesome dude and seems to really enjoy it when fans are happy with their performance. He told us that he was already working on new material for an upcoming album. Can‘t wait to hear what their next release is going to sound like. :)

I saw them open for rivers of nihil back in 2019 (id never even listened to rivers until 2 weeks before the gig and only because I was going to see them, side note, owls is an incredible record) and I met Niklas, told him despite being the openers for a small show like this they were the reason I was there, and he was beaming. Actually delighted. What a sweetheart.

Funny you've said since redfog. I know that its all just opinion but I personally don't think they've ever been better than Rasen. I was super lucky to see them play a set list of mostly that album in Manchester back in 2019. Their more melodic songs like haste to the pyre and the umbilical cord and sun of all - the song that got me into them - are the ones that truly resonate with me. I may have shed a tear back in the day and impressively they still hold strong imo. They did that Metallica cover and haven't been the same since, for me at least, all their music has the same gallop/pacing and is all a bit too thrashy for me these days. I'll still give their new stuff a go and certainly don't hate it by any means, but its just not the same.

@@waynecalvert2148 fair enough. Rasen is kind of that middle point between their sound, which i think they found in redfog, and the first 2 releases. I love sun of all, haste to the pyre and wings of dragon honestly. Let's see what they do next album, i would also like that they did some mix of nowaday's sound and the old albums, because as much as i think they can't miss with any song, it might be starting to become a bit repetitive tbh, even if the latest song was my fav one so far (while we serve), i hope they add more things to their style
