@@JoshuaMessick I see then ! I should have looked into the comments first ! For some reason I separate things as complex melodic phrases in my mind so I was counting 7 7 | 7 3 3 6 | 7 7 | 3 3 | 4 4 as 14/16 | 19/16 | 14/16 | 6/6 | 8/8 but it makes much more sense your way that is some complex composition right there, you must be listening to a lot of classical music and progressive music right ?
@JoshuaMessick

medigilclafouti Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the mixed meter is different on this piece for sure. Glad you were able to figure it out. I’m not listening to modern and classical music these days, but I do enjoy it! I just composed this tune as I felt it - I wasn’t thinking or trying to adhere to a structure. Sometimes, that’s the best way, right?

Waw please help me I love the part at 1:18 but I don't get the time signature at all ! first melodic phrase is 7/8 but the second one ? it feels like it could be 10/8 but it abruptly ends at 9.5 if that make sense, would it be correct to say its 7/8 then 19/16 ?! or 14/16 then 19/16 ? How do you write this ! Even as a progessive music listener I'm at a loss haha

Re-listening to this tune after several months, I am amazed at the exuberance and wonder it gives me as if I was listening for the first time. At every turn of the piece I am convinced it could not possibly get any better, and then! the piece takes an unexpected and beautiful new turn. To paraphrase what someone once said, "Great music always takes twists that are not just different than what you expected, but even better than what you expected."
