I saw a video where a small proximity/timed shell of some kind was fired at a window on the second floor. It predictably burst in mid air just as it passed inside the window frame. No more blowing apart the outside of the building to breach the concrete blocks, or a round passing unimpeded through a window and leaving through the first room and into another unintended room somewhere behind it. That's useful for reducing "collateral damage" deaths to someone who didn't deserve it.
@Sara-L
@Sara-L 6 жыл бұрын
In situations where there's hostages in the area, you don't want a lethal air-burst round.. It's not intended to reduce collateral damage. It's a saturation weapon to eliminate hidden enemies and to saturate the target area with shrapnel.

Nah, only when APS come in and your missile is totally useless against a tank. Aditionally that tank that you just fired your useless missile at calculates your position in milliseconds and you meet airburst. I never was a supporter of Hillary and her establishment, but to fight the Devil with Belzebub isn’t a solution either ! I know it would be wasted time to try to open the eyes of blinded and foolished people, so I won’t even try, but once again, it just makes me sad to witness how a nation which could be so great, is so easily divided by hate generated by his “leaders”, no matter if Democrats or Republicans, for the sole purpose of letting them become just even more rich and powerful ! Many Americans stick so much to the second amendment to ensure them to have the weaponry to “fight their own government ” if necessary, but so few do realize that if they would one time elect a government which REALLY cares about his people, such fears would not even exist. Remember that there are only so many of the units available in the field and that they are far from impervious to anti tank weapons. Also, Anti Tank weapons have a much greater range. These fighting vehicles are effective to drive into a hot zone and drop off troops while giving some covering fire. But then it really has to get out of there.

Can the Ammo be stored safely; if those rounds are programmable then there is a safety so that no secondary ways of setting them off can be used on the Track, right?

The 1st round hit the door and just took it through the building and then next rounds starting going in and exploding. I thought OH MY GOD that thing is firing from 1 end through the other.
