As an epileptic, I can confirm that the only way to stop a seizure is to shake the seizure-haver at the exact opposite frequency in order to cancel it out. Note: don't shake us at the seizure's resonant frequency, or else we will build up too much speed and clip out of the map.

‘grab them as hard as you can and start shaking them.’ As someone w seizures, i can confirm that the shakes will in fact cancel each other out /j (but fr you should carefully lay them on their side w plenty of space, don’t put anything in mouths, and time it if possible; anything more than 5 mins and u get into brain damage territory)

How does timing it help in a practical way? Are there any precautions you could even use at or before the 5 minute mark?

@@SomeOne-vf1rs if by ‘practical’ you mean ‘how does it help stop the seizure,’ it does not. but, if possible, it’s helpful to have at least a guess when relaying the info to any doctors or EMS workers etc. like, let’s say you walk in on someone during or right after a seizure; neither of you rly know when it started. maybe the person will remember up to a certain point, but it might not be the same point they started seizing. so a neurologist is going to have a harder time determining the cause, severity, and possible treatment than for someone who had a verifiably two-minute seizure next to you at a concert with strobe lights. omg also, it’s good to ensure the person has room to breathe. in my experience, that means pulling over and unbuckling a seatbelt/unzipping their jacket. grand mal seizures clench up your muscles, including those that expand when you breathe, so you might hear some ghastly wheezing, which is why you shouldn’t put anything in their mouth even tho there is a risk of tongue biting. and that’s partly why you turn them sideways instead, so they don’t choke on anything (food etc) i should mention my seizures have been medically controlled for nearly 12 years now so some of my info might be off in 2023 *Tldr:* it’s not much use in the moment, but it’ll help doctors afterward determine possible causes and how to proceed for the future
