Daystate where the first to use a barrel mounted chrono on their original Grand Prix rifle but shooters very soon found that it would fail regularly due to lead dust fouling on the sensors and was also very hard to clean.

That is cool, but I want to see it work with a high-powered airgun to see if it's going to hold on, not threaded on all the way.

Does it work as good as a moderator as it does as a chronograph?

What are people setting the scale to? Was at 100% but shots were 30-40 FPS faster than my FX p cg. Tried 0 and 400-500 low. 99% had it about 20 fps faster. I guess i need to grab a consistent gun and keep playing with it (giggity) With that said curious what others have it at?

I had mine at 101.1 I think. I matched it to the FX True ballistics chrony which I believe to be much more accurate than the pocket chronies

One question, with use will the lead dust that builds up inside moderators, affect the sensors?
@airshootist7 ай бұрын
it uses break beam eyes like a paintball gun. I imagine the lead dust will never stay on the eyes since its getting blasted off every shot. Time will tell
@Light_3577 ай бұрын
I think it will as I know the daystate built in systems require cleaning
@Jeeper13786 ай бұрын
So it is smooth all the way through. Easy to clean.
The fact that this thing registers pellet weight in GRAMS and not GRAIN, dismisses it for me. NO pellet manufacturer uses GRAMS as a unit of measure...so why would this company use grams as a unit of measure? Also, not everyone has or uses 1/2-20 threads on their barrel or has the ability to mount this thing.

In europe we use Grams for pellets as a unit of measure

Poor you. My maths teachers used to report "could do better" - then along came printed ready-reckoners, the pocket calculator and spreadsheets and internet calculators. The Americans even reached the moon...
