I lived in UK for over 40 years. 1979 I went to Wigan College. I was waiting for my friend to finish his project in the computer science room and a very fast paced electronic tune was playing out of the speakers. It was electricity from OMD. All 3 new songs from Bauhaus Staircase surprised me completely. Took some time to get into Slow Train, but it all became clearer when I read the lyrics. Well, done OMD! Your talents are exceptional!

One of the greatest bands to come out of the 80s, and in my view the greatest performers of any 80s band still touring. I don't say that lightly. There are some great 80s-era bands touring out there still, and they've had 40 years to perfect their performances. OMD perfected theirs more! Their live shows are absolutely off the meter in excellence and fun.

I've been an OMD fan since middle 80s, dont remember exact data as I was a child then ;) Then I had some "breaks", but still have this band in my mind as my 1st "love" :) This song is maybe not "typical" for OMD I know, but it has "something", I listened to it once to check and cannot stop :) Its just great! I was just 17 when I attended my very first OMD concert. It was February 5th. 1982 in the Zeche, Bochum, Germany. And of course I wore a white shirt and a black tie. I was crazy about this music and Andy's voice - and I still am after all these years! OMD has always been a part of my life ❤ I'm looking forward to the next album and another concert.
