I have commented before about Orchid. They are in my top 10 favorite bands, along with a bunch of the bands from Sweden. These guys are such the REAL THING it's insane. You can just tell how much passion & fire these guys have. With this song "Helicopters" , they have managed to do something I feel is incredible. They give you a taste, rather a hint of Black Sabbath, but come shinning through with a sound all their own. I love this song. I'm on my 3rd time listening to it. I just thought about...I think I love every song I have heard from them. I'm working on a project right now, and I BLAST Orchid while I'm working. Keep it up Orchid! The world needs awesome, pure, real music like this! Love you guys! :)

+Matías Aguilera I thought it sounded a little compressed too. Too me it doesnt sound bad, just different than other Orchid songs. Kinda funny, because this Ep is their first time recording analog. Still a great song.

Do y'all mean the flanger on his vocals? It has a very slow sweep so you can't really hear the individual oscillations. I can see how someone might say this gives it a 'compressed' sound though!
