Misfit plants, created by Michael Randall, is home to a carefully curated collection of weird and wonderful plants. From tiny flowering tropical orchids, to the world’s largest growing air plants and carnivorous bromeliads, Michaels collection of plants is vast. In today’s video we take a look around one of the greenhouses of Misfit plants where Michael primarily grows Orchids, Air Plants and Bromeliads. Glad to see someone in Europe that has some Platycerium.. I find them very interesting and have 2 young ones of common species to start out with. On asian channels I follow, you see them much more.. They were popular at one point in the past here in The Netherlands, my grandma knows of them and she only knows common plants. Nowadays you can find a Bifurcatum in plenty of box stores, but never mounted and people tend to keep them in pots. The fun for me comes from watching them hang :)

Omg I love his air plants, they are new and huge! 🫶🏼I’ve been trying to grow them and they just die, I have one left so hopefully this one will survive

Rainwater is the key, make sure they don’t say wet for to long and that they aren’t sitting in water as it will cause them to rot. Good sunlight and no extremes in temperature or extreme fluctuations in temp.
