In a high court revision case, the state was the first respondent, the complaint was the second respondent, and the accused was the petitioner. When filing a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court, the original complainant becomes the petitioner, the state becomes the first respondent, and the accused becomes the second respondent. Is this an example of a pro forma respondent, and will the court transpose the state to the plaintiff in such a case?
