The emotional aspect of Harry's relationship with Sirius and the security he felt for the first time knowing he has real family in Sirius is what made me experience this book on an emotional level and think of it fondly. Dude, I love how much of a perspective these videos give. As someone who read the books, pretty much everything that's noted as weird or off is already explained. Like the kids at the end of the book clearly feeling the Thestrals and being super weirded out sitting on legit nothing. Or Crucio not working on Bellatrix, because she LITERALLY says that you have to mean it and Harry's just not sadistic enough to truly torture someone else. It's like the corresponding book chapter just pops into your mind with every "criticism" and you're just like "yeah, the movie screwed that one up, I guess".

@@estebanfraticelli2978 In the books there's about a paragraph detailing how they think it's weird to sit on nothing. In the books it was elaborated that when writing the list with everyone’s names on it for Dumbledores army Hermione jinxed it to prevent people from snitching or some, so that’s why they did that. One thing that annoyed me about HP5 was that Bellatrix killed Longbottom's parents, whereas in the book, Barty Crouch Jr tortured Neville's parents so much, they became institutionalized beyond saving. I find that more horrifying than just simply killing someone. And that would explain why in the 4th book, Neville was getting upset when fake Moody (Barty Jr) was demonstrating Crucio.
@clover2739

They never said bellatrix killed Neville’s parents though… they only said she used the cruciatus curse on them. Which is true in the book as well, both her and barty crouch jr did it and the movie says that barty crouch jr also took part of it as well

Reason why crucio doesn't work when Harry tries to use it can be because the unforgivable curses only works if the person using it truly means harm. Which I highly doubt Harry truly wanted. I think he was just upset and emotional over Serius' death.

I live in Sweden and here there is a name called “Valdemar”. Sometimes I just switch it up and call Voldemort Valdemar.

There is an easter egg where a girl actually bumped into a Thestral. It happened so quick no one would notice.

in the book when harry uses the crucio curse on bellatrix, he doesn't fully mean it, she even says so, tells him if he wants it to work he needs to mean it. that why it didn't affect her as much .

Sorry being knitpicky here, the whole writing down the names for dumbledores army, was so that hermione could place a curse on everyone in dumbledores army. That way if anyone rats them out the curse activates and the traitor gets the word Traitor spelled out in zits on their face lol in the books I believe Cho changs bff was the one who ratted them Out but I still find it stupid that hermione didn’t really tell anyone what would happen if they did rat them out. She just kind of kept it a secret and like you said why not make everything on the parchment invisible, in case someone does get a hold of it

There is a moment when one of the students bumps into the carriage and looks over their shoulder! It’s in the daytime and there is a woman in white sweater over Harry’s left shoulder in background ! It’s super quick

These movies really were cast so well. It’s hard enough to nail the initial casting, but to then continue adding characters as the series progressed and just kept nailing it with the actors and actresses.

The King Killer Chronicle is one of my favorite book series, ahead of even Steven King's The Dark Tower, Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time, and Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy. Though I still highly recommend those, of course. I've never been as engrossed in a story or world as much as I was when reading The Kingkiller Chronicle. Seriously, go read that shit.

After rewatching this series recently as well ( still love it) I can’t not think of lil Voldie as an adult man TRULY obsessed with a teen boy , to the point where he is distracted deeply by his presence no matter what. Obvi later the Harry horcrux makes it more clear , but that still just means he gave Harry a piece of his heart. It’s a creepy lens but also hilarious at moments due to the drama queen penchant of Voldemort
