My late wife and I visited the pub also on 27/11/2017 ..... there is an old concrete dam not far from the pub going towards the edge of the mountain....we wrote our names and the date on the dam wall...Peet&Hannetjie...27/11/2017 Such a memory!!

I've been there. Sani Pass is GORGEOUS!! The bar is lovely and has a wonderful wine and liquor selection. We didn't stay in the lodge. I would definitely go again.

In 2013 I went up on a motorbike -- BMW F650GS -- had a Guinness in the pub, and spent the night in the Backpackers. It was July, so there was lots of ice and snow, including on the road. I was 60 when I did it and I'm pretty sure it would have been considerably easier when I was 20-30. 😁

I've cycled up there from the SA border post 3 times, the last time the top was full of snow and a pathway had to be cut just to get to the pub

As far as I know the Dragon Mountains in Lesotho, the temperature in July is below zero. It can also be considered a very cold area of Kilimanjaro, as well as the mountainous regions in Morocco during the winter months.
