THIS is such an issue. People get offended over EVERYTHING. I was just under a video where a bunch of teenage girls danced the hula choreo from Lilo and Stitch. It wasn´t perfect but it was a good attempt. They did it for international day...because thats what you do...( either pick your own country or another and research and do something about it ). People were butthurt AS HECK. So offended! I was livid to be honest. It seemed to go COMPLETELY over their head that there was no malicious intent. That they simply did this because they LOVED the movie and wanted to show love and appreciation for a culture. We stopped giving people the benefit of the doubt, granted : humans can be terrible, but we shouldn´t assume the worst right off the bat. Instead of people writing "I know this is a choreo based on a kids movie but its nowhere close to actual hula. I would´ve liked to see that! Good attempt! " They were absolutely VILE. Calling them all the names in the book. People stopped assuming that "Hey even though they may not be from my culture, they might just be interested in it...and even though its wrong and slightly cringey ( maybe even offensive ) I can appreciate their interest and effor". No, instead they cry cultural appropiation. Cause honey it ain´t. They tried to portray it accurately. They showed love and dedication. Its not like they completely dragged it and made some hip hop break dance hula out of it. People have gotten to comfortable and bored with day to day life that they search for thrill, or something to stir their emotions. Today it might be a movie. Tomorrow it might that person that had geniuine interest in their culture. The saddest part? Human relations, innovation and progressing is based on SHARING cultures and knowledge. But we are regressing. Regressing because SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES get offended over people showing interest in their culture. And because people are afraid of going beyond their own cultures. Scared of sharing their own. Humanity would not be where it would be now if everyone was such a whiny baby. Personally, I think anyone should be AVID to teach their culture to others. Heck, even though they are hailed as the devil by modern idiots ; When I lived in an arab - muslim country, even when I did things that were offensive, they would be absolutely thrilled to educate me and talk about their culture. They were THRILLED when you showed interest in their food, celebrations and past. And the saddest part is that we are unable to share all our wonderful cultures, to love them, appreciate them, preserve them and grow together. SImply becuase of some special snow flakes. Here is a news flash : No one cares if you are offended, if there is no legit base behind it. With legit base I don´t mean an accidentally wrong repesentation because of a kids movie choreo, but people with malicious intend...or simply out for a good laugh dragging cultures. I´m sorry this is long. But I´m absolutely livid.

You made so many great points, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think we are being challenged by outrage culture into learning to prize our happiness and serenity and ironically that means learning not to be offended by people who thrive on being offended. I've been watching Owen Benjamin daily streams a lot because he makes me laugh at these ridiculous people which for me is a stress release but also because he just focuses on crushing and these people that are always offended are let's face it Losers!! They are for sure not crushing their mindset prevents it and I find it so easy to be triggered by them but I'm tired of them stealing my focus, focus I can use to keep crushing. I really liked what you had to say though it's very true.

I am so glad that I found your page recently. Everyday I’m working to become the best man I can be. Now this video hits a issue I’m going through myself with my coworkers. I am a automotive technician, I’ve been doing for 6 years so far. I started at a shop that was very high caliber. The owner was a very sharp tech, held many master certs and aided me to become the tech I am today. I become a very motivated tech, always wanting to learn new technology, diagnostic techniques and I practiced what I learned. Unfortunately I had I felt it was time part ways with my boss because of always working and it killed my social life with family and girlfriend. I have been at a new shop for 2 years so far and I dread it every day. I felt I went from very high skill level to now doing work that the kid a Jeffy lube does. This is not me I’m better then just general service but that’s what this shop does more of. Now the problem I have is my coworkers will come up to me and stare will I work and finally say “ what the hell are you doing?” Or your “why are you doing it like that?” Or they ask me “ do you need help? Are you sure?” In a tone that sounds like I don’t know or can’t do the task. I feel undervalued every time. Like you said I feel they see me as an idiot but yet my current boss will come to me to knock out jobs or take a look at a car before he asks them. It’s gotten to the point we’re I’ve bottled it up so much that I’m a bout to snap on the next person that says something. I don’t know how to handle this situation really. Maybe I’m getting offended to easily, maybe I need to speak up, maybe it’s a lake of confidence and insecurity with myself. Any of my fellow Order of Men have any advice on this situation or opinions (good or bad) ? Thanks for videos!

Ive been there man. These people who make comnents or remarks on our abilities are just random people on the street or new people in our line of work who do not know who we are and dont have any idea of our skill and abilities. Most of these people have mental issues like ADHD aspergers etc(even adults). So jus have an inner smile and know in your heart that most people are just effing idiot retards. Meditate everyday when u feel agravated when u have memories of these things. Dont let a bunch of random retards spoil your peace of mind. Life is a effing joke anywayz. Live it as a joke as well. See videos like this when u feel down. It will raise ur vibe instantly. Thats wat i do. I hope this helps.

Just found your channel. Thanks for the content. Very useful stuff. My father told me, when I was very young, that if someone says something that offends you it’s your problem. I didn’t understand it at the time, but now I see what he meant. People have the right to say whatever they want. If you allow yourself to be hurt by their words then it’s your problem. The are only words and opinions. They mean nothing unless you allow it. Being a man means being bigger then that. Let them say or think whatever, you should know the truth. So words shouldn’t bother you.

So much truth to this video, I'll be the first to admit that I am offended easily, I left my job a month ago because I was so insecure about my performance and my ability to retain information. My coworkers were making me feel like a dumbass so I left. I now feel worse knowing I was a coward and couldn't just deal because I let my emotions get the best of me. I am really depressed thinking about all my stupid mistakes I made and ruminating alone with my thoughts thinking about my shit life doesn't help. I am currently searching for a job but, I've had little to no luck finding anything. I'm nearing 30 and I'm losing hope in myself with each passing day. I'm learning to be more confident by going to the gym and getting myself out of my comfort zone as often as I can but it's harder than I thought

I'm offended by this video 😂😂 no I'm kidding, yes people are easily offended and so am I but sometimes the reason I get offended is because I feel like I really can't trust anyone. I mean every time I think someone is a nice person or they really just wanna be friends they turn out to be jerks and users. So sometimes I get offended and defensive is because I wanna make sure the person I'm talking to is not like the others but sadly they are. Sometimes I talk about people when they aren't around but I'm not gonna say downright mean things unless they have done me or someone wrong. But I've learned to forgive and move on and I do feel better 😃

No one has a “right” not to be offended. I get that and I agree with that point. Being offended is a fact of life. But to say “stop being offended” is pretty much the same as saying “stop offending me”. Freedom of speech must include the right to offend. However, it must also include the right of those who do take offence to say as much and to explain why they find it offensive (“learning something” goes both ways). Many things offend me. I have a right to object and I have a right to voice my objection. However, I do recognise that freedom of speech is far more important than my... or anyone else's... subjective sensibilities. What I don't have the right to do is silence those who offend me. Furthermore, I strongly oppose any attempt to silence those whose views offend me. I accept that there are occasions when I will feel offended and, by the same token, you must accept that there will be those who will be offended and voice their concerns. Such is life.

Perhaps a quality of value to add here is the “Idea” of holding the space and the tone in which others can hear and take in what is intended. Please consider how what you’d intended here would best be received. On another level or oder of things I’d offer the appreciation and quality outreach you are representing here........ great work! It isn't that offends me -see what I did there- it's just that I have the conviction that all words we as believers use should be wholesome. I haven't heard any 'curse' words in any of your other vids so that's great...is there any way you could edit and repost this so I can share? I ask this because we ourselves don't use 'curse words' and council the youth in our lives against it so it would be hard to share this as it is. While i do believe life is too short to be offended by the little things, that doesn't mean you let anyone talk to you any kind of way. To be honest without getting offended how would we stand up for ourselves? Say somebody punches you in the face and that doesn't make you mad or say somebody tries to even kill you and you're still for whatever reason calm (Probably extremely unrealistic but lol). It may sound like a very redundant concern but, if you hit someone back then that obviously meant that it offended you for them to hit you. And if you don't get offended (Not over little things like "Fuck you" or racial slurs) but by actual physical contact then you'll just end up getting bullied tbh. So its OK to get a little offended, don't let these people try to tell you different.

No one has ever died from being offended. Life is too short to always find something to be offended by, make a tweet about it, cry to the world, and await a crowdfunding campaign to pay for your sorry little life. Man up, move on, live life :)
