Awakening To Be Human

Awakening To Be Human

2 жыл бұрын

I am thrilled to share this conversation with David Bingham, a teacher of non-conceptual awareness, featured in Ronda Byrne's latest book #thegreatestsecret.
In the first part of this video, David talks about his journey to self-realization/awakening. In the second part which starts at about 50:00, we talk about topics such as:
- the confusion around terms used to describe the moment we realize our true nature
- the difference between spiritual experiences and self-realization/awakening
- the importance of rebellion and intuition/resonance not just in life in general but also along our spiritual journey
- why self-realization/awakening is simple
- intellectual understanding
- why concepts and practices can stand in the way of self-realization/awakening
- koshas as a navigating system
- living a controlled life vs effortless living
- the life after self-realization/awakening
- a little bit of guidance for those interested in self-realization/awakening

@@hotdonna27 Absolutely not :) I honestly haven't met anyone who does. It may be that some people experience more of it, for sure. I certainly do but I genuinely don't think that it is possible to experience peace all the time for as long as we are humans! :) What does change and makes a huge difference is being at peace with what is, even if that "IS" means a temporary turmoil, sadness, anxiety, fear etc.
@awakeningtobehuman

@@hotdonna27 I'd reply the same way. Yes, it still happens (however I never feared death), but it is experienced differently and it is not resisted. The best way I can describe it is a healthy distance to any kind of feeling/emotion. It still sucks when it happens but, as I said, the way it is being experienced is making all the difference.

In my experience, you have to get the space between thoughts first.....then there is a chance for the aha moment. And it IS different from the "knowledge" in the mind. It is a different kind of knowing. Definitely agree about folk sitting there for 30 years and still nothing. Been there. But happily, I moved on.

I understood all of this. As in finishing the next sentence, lol. Anyway: I am so glad that things like intuition, good vibes/bad vibes or as you call them: frequencies, even telepathy, synchonicity all are taken seriously. The mind is very enclosed with its logica. This will never give happiness or freedom. That's why the laws of nature like Newton and Maxwell etc. discovered can not describe the universe. Because they close off a lot. it is like you are trying to describe nature by looking at your garden, forgetting the influence of the sun, moon, wind, insects, unseen microbes etc. If we give less importance to the logical mind, then one can feel the expansion and freedom of it all. Bliss is happiness just to be alive in this world. Well, consciousness feels itself in the joy of being. Something like that. We are all one soul, so nothing dies. And nothing can me contamineted or be sinfull. Nothing sticks on consciousness. Of course not, then it would not be free and alive. Life is a wheel, and the mind is the Axel, sometimes grinding against it, sometimes there is sand in the axel. But there is no axel at all! So life can spin freely without resistance. I was thinking about this paradox: Let's say, I can see the future. Now I do a deed, which will change the future, namely, I now win the lottery because of seeing the future. Now I changed the future. In the end I concluded and realised: all is one, and there is n free will, and it is all connected. What a game life is. Creativity is just intelligence playing with itself. Or consciousness. So, that's all for today, chew on that . Lol.

I have definitely come to realize that at some point you just have to trust your own instincts. I've gone through many different paths and always put my entire belief into every single one i tried, disregarding everything else, and at some point i'd eventually 'fall off the wagon' and return to life as before. I think it was all perfect, when i look at it now because it's all lead me to looking deeper. The previous paths i took felt very exclusive, you must do this or that, you are wrong if you think this or that, and those things just didn't feel right to me. And this is the thing that feels the most right. a joy thats unconditional, and no judgement, no fighting, no solving problems until another one comes and another and another, no 'this is the way and there is no other', and no you must meditate for hours, or you must do this, you must do that, you can't have this, you cant have that. just pure freedom.

Thanks guys. I get it. Effortless being. But it feels like effort to stop the effort and therefore it is not working for me. I still have to "do" something which is to stop the effort. Yes it has been clarified really well but..... help!
@awakeningtobehuman
@awakeningtobehuman 2 жыл бұрын
I can feel the frustration :) To me, and I may be wrong of course, effortless being is something that naturally emerges the more we see/experience the truth of our true nature and it's really annoying, I know...because we want to do something to be in that state, to manufacture it i.e. by trying to stop the effort. But it's the very trying and the very resistance to whatever we're experiencing at any moment that creates the frustration and not what is actually happening. Even that thought that "we have to stop the effort" is what creates resistance, followed by tension and frustration. So our best shot is to fully accept whatever we're feeling, meet that feeling fully, allow ourselves to feel it. I know, easier said than done.
@anthonym3351
@anthonym3351 2 жыл бұрын
Lol I totally understand Andrew I've certainly been there! But it is just a thought and the mind that tells us there's a thing to do. We try to stop the mind with the mind which will never work. Just being happy and joyful will help better than anything

@awakeningtobehuman
@awakeningtobehuman 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. When I experienced my awakening 11 years ago, I did not call it an awakening because it was not part of my vocabulary. I did not consider myself a "spiritual" person or strived to be one. What I understood as "spiritual' or a "spiritual; lifestyle" was putting me off and still does. I recognise those people by the presence they have and how they go about and respond to life.
