So a couple things. We almost never comment, and have mostly silently watched you two in the background for years now. Honestly, when it comes to theme park vlogging, you all are the best. Seriously. Best quality. Best everything. It has been a privilege to have watched you two from your very early days to what you've become now. You've earned every bit of what you've accomplished, both on KZbin and prior to that with slashfilm. All of it. Halloween is our favorite time, and your videos are always the first we seek out. Honestly.. overall, this looks more fun and scarier than this year’s HHN. Universal may have the budget, but Knott’s has the Passion, and they do an incredible job with what budget they have. I definitely need to go to Knott’s Scary next year.

Me and my family have been going to Knotts scary farm since I was 4. I am now 23 and we are still keeping our family tradition alive. We have tried Halloween horror nights a couple times but Knotts just does it the best. We love it so much and have to go back every year to see what mazes they bring next.

I've always thought Knott's is better than HHN. Sure Universal has that startling jumpscare with the strobe and loud crashing sound, but it gets repetitive. Knott's mazes are like twice as long and you won't find any blank black walls that HHN fills their mazes with. Knott's coasters are better too. The park is overall more decorated and scenic. It may not be as scary, but it's cheaper and there's more mazes, and the lines don't get as bad as HHN.

The only time I went to Knott's Scary Farm was back in 1991 while I was still in the Marine Corps. This was the first time I had ever went to something like this and it was amazing, the scare actors were awesome even back then!

Knotts is just a better Halloween experience for your buck. I remember pre covid HHN was much less crowded and they did a better job at spacing parties for the mazes. Plus, some of their mazes I'm just not interested in as they have barely anything to do with horror movies or even just horror at all. (I'm looking at you The Weeknd mazes). On top of that, Knotts maze design is overall better, going for quality over quantity which I'm completely fine with, as this lends well to the placement of the scare actors. They do reuse mazes at Knotts, but over the years they have done an excellent job at hiding the scare actors and giving them more room to be creative and scare you whereas at HHN actors are mostly confined to booths and guests are moved through the mazes airport security style, to the point where a goo 70-80% of the time you'll see the scares coming (Unless you get an Express pass!). At the end of the night going to Knotts there is a very good chance you'll see maze lines with little to no wait times and you are basically going in with just you and your party which makes it even more scary and fun. Now everytime I visit (and I won't be visiting Universal this year) HHN, me and my party can only do 3-4 mazes as the wait times have just gotten absolutely ridiculous. Knotts has come out on top for the theme park Halloween experience.

I've only been to Knott's Scary Farm once, in high school 2002. I was absolutely obsessed after that but sadly never made it back between adulting the year following then an out of state move the next year. I swear its my personal goal to go in 2025 with my wife (who will only be going during the daytime and Disneyland lol) and eventually, hopefully, when the kid is old enough, she'll go with me. Just curious what you guys think. I've always felt that Knott's Scary Farm mazes are a little more inventive then the Universal ones. Don't get me wrong, I love Universal, but I feel like you can tell when a scare is coming, but Knott's...they take me by surprise so many times! And the flying witch and sliders!! Can't beat that! Great video as always. But you guys need to go later in the Haunt Season as well to see a major difference sadly from opening weekend. We went Saturday October 12th and most mazes were missing so many scare actors. Even some scare zones weren’t filled with scare actors like it should be (sadly even Ghost Town felt emptier than usual). It seems like they go all out for opening weekend but then as the weeks go by, less and less scare actors are utilized. I keep coming back to Knott’s Scary Farm because I’ll always support Knott’s and the OG haunt, but I guess if I want the full experience like you guys got, I gotta go opening weekend next year.

I think Knotts has the edge for one big reason: They allow scareactors more freedom. Sure Universal has bigger budgets and better sets, but a lot of in-house scareactors just lip sync a pre-recorded phrase and it feels faker, if that makes sense. Just looking at Ghosttown alone gives me classic HHN vibes with how those scareactors were still in character but given a little more on the lead if you will.
