I run an R9 on my 7” FM9. It’s an amazing can. The tri lug mount is perfection. I also use it on my 9” 300BLK until I decide on a can just for it.

Too bad about the customer service problems. I had a great experience with getting one of the old legacy silencers fixed when I had an end cap strike. One of the main reasons I bought it was the great warranty. Shame they are not offering that any more.

Send your Turbo K to ECCO Machine. They’ll cut the Gen 1 end cap off and thread it to take dead air flash hider end caps. I did that with my Gen 1 resonator and their work is phenomenal, especially when they re-finished it in FDE Moly Resin. The work to convert the end cap was fairly affordable as well

I also have a Turbo K that I run on a 10.5" Sig 516 SBR piston system. I'm all but certain it must have the flash suppressor end cap. This is due to the extremely reduced flash during low light fire. Also I run a R9 on my Scorpion Evo3 S2 Micro SBR. Like you l really like YHM products but trying to talk to CS is like trying to talk to a brick wall.

@@OreGear yeah they finally got back in touch with him after a year of the RMA process (it being in their possession) and told me they were having trouble getting the parts in which seemed odd to me. The collar did shear off on his but I didn’t think it would be that difficult to get it replaced. Glad we have it back but I was astounded at the wait. It was all done free of charge though which was nice.

@@OreGear by the way, I have an R9 also and I love it. I actually run it a bunch on an Arsenal 107cr with subs. Big Ol’ 255 grain pills. It’s so fun on that thing due to how compact it is. Warranty doesn’t cover 12.5 in 7.62x39 but the R9 is kind of just a fun rugged “budget” can as is. Videos on my channel if you want to see it hosted on that.

I appreciate this review because you don't constantly say "like," "actually," "kind of," "sort of" or "literally" for no reason. You did say "price point" (which does not mean price), but your video is not painful to watch the way so many other are because the reviewers can't construct a sentence. Keep it up.

@@OreGear either way, they just can’t do it. That’s not how the process works for mass production, CNC machines are programmed to do certain things, it takes hundreds of hours for them to get the process done right. They can’t just take a can and cut it and reweld. It would be faster and easier for them to just make you a new can. Hope you understand that. You’re talking custom work, that is not part of their manufacturing process.

@@OreGear "Suppressor is used by people who think that changing the names of things will stop the gun grabbers from trying to ban things." Not me. I prefer using "Suppressor" over "Silencer" for the sake of those that don't know any better and tend to form opinions based on the scary terminology that the gun grabbers use to convince the uninformed that these things are scary and evil. I refuse to use the terminology the gun grabbers like to use in a general discussion with people that are either not friendly to 2A or are indifferent. But that's just me.
