Sorry to hear about your accident Russell, I never wear any safety equipment when using my chainsaw ( stupidity ) but from hearing you talk I’ve suddenly had second thoughts and will be wearing appropriate gear 👍 Great saw by the way and well demonstrated, I have a silky and when the time comes to replace it I will certainly give type your using a go .

My accident was in 2006 Matt, a long time ago! It is not stupidity, it is complacency and we all suffer from it in varying degrees, me more than most. It is a good idea to protect yourself though and it may save you from serious injury! My new saw has proved to be a really good addition to my tool kit. I managed to clear all of the `tops' as we call them. I was shocked at the size of cut that is possible with such a small saw. Now I have the thick stuff to deal with using my chainsaw. Stay safe! :-)

Good video! My mum uses a similar LIDL pull saw as yours for her garden and she is over 80 - not giving her a chain saw!! I like those Japanese Pull saws - got a cheap flat cut one in LIDL that i use on guitar repairs - but makes short, accurate work of anything ! I recently bought some nice eucalyptus veneers for a build project - very nice ´flamed´ figured grain! Be interesting to split those logs... Cheers from Madrid

I looked into using the wood Dan and will try to use some. Apparently it does not dry well and splits easily. I will still try to use it. Cheers from here! :-)

you say u think pruning saws are less dangerous then chainsaws but after working in tree service for 8 years now i know more people who have cut them selves with there silky really bad then a chainsaw. they are dangerous if you get reckless with them and will lay you wide open in a hurry

Thank you for the demonstration. What was the thickest branch you ever cut with this tool? I have to prune my lilac tree close to ground. its trunk is about 6 in. Do you think this tool will be fit for purpose? regards

I think you would have no problems cutting a 6" trunk with this tool. :-)
