I am from Iraq and I love this helmet. It is considered a good helmet and more protective. I consider it the best helmet in the world and it has beautiful memories when I used to shake hands with American soldiers when I liberated my country. I went with the old school nvg mount. The one with the strap. Used it in the military a few times. Worked for me.

Cool setup. Just got myself a surp pasgt the other day. I can definitely see why the military decided to swap out to a different suspension and padding system but man the high cut helmets they use now, I feel like it does a better job of making your head a target than it does actually covering your head, sits on top and way above unlike the pasgt which I much prefer. Btw kinda off topic, not sure how often you hear this but you look a lot like Christian Bale.

Dude, to help out you can buy a screw set on ebay for 11 bucks i think and it comes with pieces so the old chinstrap holes are flush with the helmet. And then take one of the screws from the original mounting set for the chinstrap bevause its a longer screw for your nvg mount

is it possible to put a cover on it after taking out the liner and adding padding?

That’s really a cool helmet and the price smart economics. What hearing protection would you suggest with that setup? Keep your videos coming. They’re always informative.

Thanks, much appreciated. Honestly you’re kind of stuck to ear plugs - as a noted in the video you’re not gonna be able to fit electronic ear pro underneath the helmet.

@@StretzTacticalinc Inner ear pro is improving all the time I have a couple of different sets, I'm gonna see if I can order a pasgt and do some experimentation on what works best.

What's the best solution for using active earpro in a setup like this? obviously there's in-ear active earpro aimed at hunters/target shooters that should work okay, but are there any products specifically for kpots that might allow for radio integration, mics, and other features?
@StretzTacticalinc4 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. The MICH and later helmets fit, but not the PASGT

I believe there's russian surplus active earpro that has elastics that go over ur head. Might work

If you're lucky, you might be able to get some from Army Surplus stores for a relatively good deal. A lot of people are beginning to buy surplus PASGT helmets, so there might not be a lot available in the near future.

@@meatsmudge5349 I got it directly from Oregon aero. But I just checked their website and yeah they’re charging $225 now - probably due to the demand, they are gouging prices

@@StretzTacticalinc Yeah, I’m considering buying just the chinstrap/harness for $52 and getting a different pad kit and coming out around $80, but their gouging prices with everything that’s going on right now doesn’t exactly give me the warm fuzzies about doing business with them.
