Late season crabbing in the Tillamook Bay for delicious dungeness crab with my 15ft Smoker Craft Alaskan with 15HP Honda Outboard. It was easy limit of 24 for two person. And enjoyed a catch and cook snack off the dock.

How come you don't do more crab videos with catch and cook and eating them because that's why you catch them is to cook them up in some good recipes or boiled or steamed sitting around the table picking that tasty meat

Did you say "holy crab"? love it! Why don't you fish while you are out there too?
@bebe09282 жыл бұрын
Lol, thanks. We did try to fish a little bit, condition wasn’t good, water was murky; so we didn’t get any fish

Looks like a great day! You would be wise to save the shell when you clean it for the dockside cook. You will have proof that you crab is legal.

Not sure which is the most hazardous ,cold water drowning or three minute cook time.but at least you got em quick and had a good time.

I didn’t catch whether or not you sorted males and females? Great pull! I have a boat at our house in Oceanside, let me know if you ever wanna meet up.

Thanks man! Over in Tillamook female is super rare for some reason, usually looking at the body shape gives a pretty good ideas, a quick turn on the body to the belly is quick check as well.

Do you use an aerator to keep the crabs alive on your way home?

Great work but wear a life vest. If your motor tangles up with one of those crab pot lines you'll go down fast.

Would you please advise me as to when to start crabbing at Garibaldi in the summer/fall and not catch soft-shelled crabs? Thanks!
@Kpoole35 Жыл бұрын
Shells harden by October and usually soften up by mid-January. Cold months=Hard shell. Warm months= Soft shell.
@karennorthrop2293 Жыл бұрын
@@Kpoole35 You got that right! I once crabbed in the Umpqua in April, and it took 4 crabs to fill me up.
