LOL--- AND HERE YOU TWO ARE WITH MOST OF WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO GO RVING AND CAMPING WITH TWO BIKES AND A BIKE TRAILER. I used to live in North Bend. Golden & Silver Falls were just up the road. When Silver Falls is merely a trickle of it's usual cascade over the cliff, it exposes a huge boulder a couple hundred feet from the base of the falls. The boulder has been eroded away underneath making a beautiful sandy bottom pool about 4ft. deep. Spent many a warm summer day floating about that pool.

We like the Oregon coast so much we moved to Oregon. We live 45 minutes east of it. Glad you two enjoyed being on 101! Eat some local marionberry cobbler or pie, some local crab, or best yet local clam chowder. Drink a few local beers too! If going further north there is tons to explore and eat! Have fun! Be safe, there is a fire north in Lincoln County currently as well as a bunch in towards Portland. Smoke is a big issue on the northern parts of the Oregon coast currently.

Did you get to see the historic Prospect Hotel it's from the late 1800's. Where was the cafe I don't remember it from when I was there. I do remember going to Butte Falls (I think or maybe it was Creek) but they had the best home made pies. Did you get to see the lava flows along Hwy 62 they are amazing to see. I am spoiled because I live here in the Portland area. The most spectacular falls is Multnomah up in the Gorge about 30 miles from Portland like 600 feet but if you go make atrip across the river and take Hwy 14 back so you can see it from across the river so you can really see it.
