Oregon Hiking - Lower Cascade Head Hike near Lincoln City

Silent hike - A heat wave escape to Lincoln City for some mild temperatures, fog, and views. If you are looking for a coastal hike with amazing views this is one of the best in Oregon. While this trail is not dog friendly it is definitely worth checking out. The trail’s main viewpoint looks down to three Rocks, the Salmon River Estuary, and the headlands north of Lincoln City. Cascade Head is a headland and 270-acre (110 ha) UNESCO biosphere reserve and United States Forest Service Experimental Forest. It is situated 85 miles (137 km) southwest of Portland, Oregon on the Oregon Coast between Lincoln City and Neskowin. Cascade Head Preserve is a Nature Conservancy Selected Site. The 4 miles and 1100 feet elevation gain is to the lower lookout, this hike can be 6 miles or more with additional elevation gain.
