Oregon relaxing hike- Eagle Creek Trailhead to Tunnel Falls

The hike to Tunnel Falls is one of the most storied day trips in the Pacific Northwest . You'll encounter eight major waterfalls along Eagle Creek and its tributaries, with lots of smaller and seasonal falls in-between. Featuring Punchbowl Falls and Tunnel Falls. Silent Hiking
The Eagle Creek Trail #440 is the most popular trail in the Columbia Gorge. It follows Eagle Creek through the forest and along paths carved into basalt cliffs. A relatively easy hike, Eagle Creek Trail offers spectacular viewpoints and waterfalls. On parts of this trail, there are sheer cliffs with no guard rails, so this hike may not be suitable for children or those afraid of heights. This trail is part of a multi-day loop opportunity which continues into the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness on the Hood River Ranger District in the Mt. Hood National Forest.

The narrowest parts do have cables. At Tunnel Falls its wet ground from the mist and narrow but as long as you don't look down its not too bad. I crossed to a wider spot and then looked. Thanks for watching my video! Jeff.

Amazing! How many kilometers are round trip? I live in Canada but we're planning a trip to oregon in october and we would love to do this hike with our daughters (7 and 15 years old)

Around 20 - 24 kilometers to Tunnel Falls and back but there is very little elevation gain. There are a couple of places I'd keep a very close eye on the 7 year old but they have cables to hang on to. Have fun!! Jeff.
