Thanks for sharing. So much beauty! Also, so sad to see the burned areas. I'm envious but hope to be doing the same in 2025.

You perfectly captured the beauty and hardship of the Oregon section of the PCT. So sad to see so much of the area burned next to the trail, but I recognized all the spots I've hiked over the decades. This is a wonderful paen to the trail, thank you for sharing.

Thank you! It’s hard to put my entire experience in Oregon into one video so this is definitely the highlight reel. It’s really beautiful out there. Glad you enjoyed the video!

Those burn areas are soul sucking. It’s always sad to see. But so many other beautiful areas in video looking forward to seeing in person this summer.
@TheHungryHiker11 ай бұрын
I agree. The burn areas were really tough to hike through and there were so many of them, but there were a ton of places along the trail in Oregon that were stunning. It's so beautiful out there!

That double zero room was sweet, I want to stay there :) Thank you for showing so much of Oregon. Most PCT films show only a couple minutes of Oregon sadly it seems.

The stay at Callahans Lodge was pretty epic and quite luxurious. 10/10 would recommend. Also, Oregon was so beautiful along the PCT that I felt like it deserved its own video in this series. Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi, I just watched your video on pct Oregon, we are playing a section hike end of July starting at timberline lodge to cascade locks -bridge of the gods. So I had a few questions, how was the water source and was the inclines steep?
@TheHungryHiker9 ай бұрын
We had plenty of water throughout this section in July and the trail wasn't flat. :) Your best bet is to download the FarOut Guide app and use it not only for your trip planning before you get on trail, but also for trail intel and navigation once you're on trail. You can get information about nearby water sources AND the elevation profile for the trail all through this app. Have fun out there!

Awesome! The Oregon section of the PCT is beautiful. I highly recommend hiking this section of the trail if you can. I hiked the Oregon section of the PCT last year and the end of July/beginning of August (2023).

It's hard to tell. It's all weather-dependent at this point on where I'll be out on trail and when.

With being on your feet for so long. What do you recommend to treat your feet to keep them healthy?
@TheHungryHiker Жыл бұрын
During the day when I stop for breaks, I like to take my shoes off and soak my feet in cold water if I can. When I get to camp at night, I love rolling a cork ball underneath my feet. It helps my feet feel so much better. Then when I get into town, I try to soak them in epsom salt and give my feet as much rest as I can.

2 questions- do you carry a weapon for defense on trial, and do you pack a rod for fishing those beautiful lakes?

There were quite a few burn areas throughout Oregon. It was really promising to see some of the plant life already growing back in a few of these sections though. Mother Nature always wins!
