May n June 24 stayed here. Thank you for sharing about this place. Awesome spot. Quiet. My dogs have loved the water. No cows here when I was here. Perfect weather. Clear internet on phone. I would say April thru June ideal location. Closest town for supplies in one hr away La Pine. There is no peak season here. Might have 2 overnight campers at a time. One camper here a week n rest campers here just overnight. A few fisherman here. They tend to cleaning the campground n pit toilet weekly, very well attended. The algae to the water comes into the water mid June. Only little rattlesnakes here in the outskirts if hiking.

Lots of basalt (aka lava rock) in central and eastern Oregon. This is a cute little area. We got stuck in a super crazy storm in May 2022. I live in the Portland area and crossed over the mountains getting there but we had to drive around them to get home because they got a ton of snow. In fact it started snowing so hard we could barely see in front of us. A little scary when you’re brand new to driving a motorhome. I love the smell of sagebrush during a rainstorm. I also love the sound of thunder but you guys are smart for following your dog’s advice. You could hear the electrical interference on the recording. The lightning shot was incredible. There’s some cool geological features in that area. Fort rock is nearby as is crack in the ground.

The time lapse of the storm was amazing! The lightning strike...Holy Moly!! I think the collapsed lava tube is legit. Pretty cool to find that. As a kid, we had Western Meadowlark at our house. I love their song so much. It always reminds me of spring and makes my heart happy. Safe travels ❤❤❤

I’m a little late on weighing in, too busy playing to keep up with KZbin, but that is absolutely a collapsed lava tube. Not unusual in Central Oregon…and around all of the Cascade volcanoes, like Mt St Helens. I love the sound of the Western Meadowlark, Oregon’s state bird. The high desert up around Bend is just spectacular, in a low key way.

12:34 mark: Such perfectly-calm water is inconceivable in the heliocentric model, where we are supposedly spinning 1000mph at the equator while we go around the sun at 66,600 mph, while the sun is zooming through the "universe" at almost 500,000mph.... 🤷♀🤔🥞😉 15:12 mark: Idk, Dave. Concrete in such an area is pretty suspect. I think we may have been lied to when they say that was a "lava tube".... 15:48 mark: Thanks for the tip on that bird call app. 👍 17:23 mark: I have a love/hate relationship with the shoulder seasons because of the swings in temperature. I've just learned to live with layering of clothing. Lol. 22:00 mark: I love the sound of thunder. It's only possible within our "thunder-dome", of course. 😉🌩⚡ 22:15 mark: I have a whole new appreciation for our true physical realm, since I've looked at it with fresh new eyes. Real eyes realize real lies.... 23:15 mark: Wow! That is so cool! I don't see how that can happen on a water-covered spinning rocket ball. It seems totally possible if you consider that we live on a dielectric plane of existence, though. 👍 I pray that you will see the truth of our realm. Much love to all three of you! 🙏

@oneadVANtureatatime8 ай бұрын
+@Lst2ltdwn rumor has it that cell connection will be very weak in Alaska. When that happens we usually go to libraries... This would mean a delay in videos in Alaska. One of our Patrons is sponsoring us with Starlink for our Alaska journey. I think the time has come for us to consider Starlink! We need connection (and good connection) to keep the channel running. We have been dragging our feet because it is so expensive! We are already limited on where we can go due to vehicle limitations.... Add cell service with good upload speed it is tough at times! I think this will be a good practice run. We have also waited on starlink because it does draws great deal of power from those that we have talked to that gave it. With our recent battery upgrade, I think we are ready😃
@GoneHiking-c4q8 ай бұрын
@@oneadVANtureatatime At least with Starlink you can temporarily pause your subscription if you end up somewhere that has better cell connection. They are not making customers sign up for an entire year, just one month at a time. I am sure they will rescind that policy one of these days.
