Super sucky rockhounding conditions my friend but at least you found a couple things! I'd be out there fishing like crazy, the salmon should be running.

Hahaha, my third time watching. I keep forgetting to leave a comment. 🙂 I really liked the outro drive. Beach agate was sweet. My favorites were all the green specimens you picked to bring back. What do they do with all the sand they dredge? Very nice beach, excellent rockhounding it seems. Thanks for sharing your awesome video, buddy. Take care 🙂

Awesome video! The overcast lighting was sad. That conglomerate was really cool, and the bowenite was unexpected! You do what i do, pick up every green rock! Awesome haul there! Some really pretty rocks! Thanks for the good advice! See you on the next adventure!

Thanks a ton Largent, always happy to hear from you. The green has me hooked. I was blown away to find nice serpentine there so now I'll have to keep my eyes open next time I'm there. I look forward to showing how the beaches change in winter before too long. Chat w/ ya soon and stay cool

I live in Klamath CA. The agates up in Crescent City on Pebble Beach have been beyond plentiful this year. Jasper in an array of colors, chalcedony in various colors, petrified wood and some very beautiful rocks of unknown origin. The size of the agates have been on the larger side for this area. Blues and carnillian have been the best in 40 years. Maybe you can get down this way. In the next month it will go back to the regular smaller ones.

I love beach hounding for the environment and chill atmosphere, but just not really for the agate lol. I personally only know 2 spots where I can find baseball sized beach carnelian.
@TheRogueRockhound2 жыл бұрын
That doesnt surprise me at all man, youre a carnelian whisperer HAHA Agates are nice but the Oregon coast offers so much more. Chat with ya soon buddy, and thanks for the support bro, really appreciate it man.

Might need to dig this one back out but I remember it looking like quartz with hornblende. I have not gotten around to scratching or shining UV light on it yet but I'll try to get back to you on that asap. Thanks for watching!
