I think the flaws Oregon has shown match up really well for Oregon State’s strengths. Oregon may have a talent advantage but the teams are practically equal size and strength wise. Oregon State has serious home field advantage with the Chainsaw and they have more reason to be motivated I think they win a tight one

As an Oregon fan I feel a close, intense game similar to Boise st but ducks coming out on top. We beat Boise st and had another week to work on our O-Line and whatnot so it should be a win…right?

I don’t actually know if McCoy is a downgrade at all from DJU let alone a significant one, DJU was largely propped up by the scheme and we’ve seen him at FSU. We haven’t really seen the passing playbook opened up much under the new OC so it certainly could be a weakness although there have been a few glimpses of what it could be on the few passes McCoy has thrown this year. This game will tell us a ton about him and the receivers as the last two have been pound the rock/cruise control games. As a beaver fan this was a game that everyone, including essentially our whole fan base, had as a locked in loss before the season started but I at least have more hope we will be competitive given the quacks struggles and at home in Reser an upset is at least within the range of possible outcomes. Only thing guaranteed is that the atmosphere will be about the most hostile non-night game of all time. Would not be shocked to see some brawls in the stands and a player or two getting ejected from both teams😂 Extra edit: Jam griffin is from the south and had some family issues that drove him to transfer and come back once they were resolved. Not saying that I think he should have taken touches away from judkins or anything but he’s always been a solid player and was the third down back during Martinez’s first season. Beavs fans were sad to see him go but understood that family is always first and we’re certainly stoked to have him back. Hankerson is also a bit of a beast, I think Deion just didn’t have any interest in having a successful run game, too busy trying to stat pad shadeur

He doesn't know oregon state that well. Our occupation has been able to get away with running the ball a lot because we've been incredibly successful there, but he is ideally more on the quick pass game in my opinion. He got none of the impact players right with the exception of hankerson. Our coaching situation was tough, but in some ways we are better off on the coaching front and our o line coach is also highly regarded. This is oregon on the road for the first time, with a qb that's struggled so far and will probably struggle again in reser. I really think oregon state has a much higher chance in this one. Particularly because oregon has struggled. I'd put it at like 57 43 for oregon right now.

There is no reason Oregon should lose this game but I felt that way many times headed into Corvallis to only leave disappointed.

Oregon always feels phony. There really is something to having one of the "best" coaches. Dan Lanning & Lincoln Riley are both fine but the can't win the championship. It's easy to get 10 wins with lots of 5 star talent and good quarterbacks, it's another to develop players. The coaches that developed players all won.

Looked at Gabriel stats he looks pretty amazing to me? I still like Oregon. Gabriel better than Howard for sure! Oregon and PSU gotta get D figured out. USC looks strong thus far as well.

Beavs win a close one. Oregon always plays down. They continued that trend the first two weeks of this season. They are always the spoiled brat that thinks they deserve to win because on paper they are supposed to. But oregon state is different they have always been the underdog, the blue collar team. This year thus game means more. It means more to oregon state than it does to oregon. Oregon two years ago thought they had sealed a win and the beavs ran the ball down their throat for a loss. This is typical ducks. Have all the tools but can figure out how to use them. Beavs win by 4. Bet the under or at least bet the beavs to cover. The beavs playbook is wide open. They've run the ball and possessed it. They will continue that. But the pass game will open up. Oregon was suppo5od to correct their weaknesses last week. They didn't. They aren't going to be playing in a friendly environment that they have enjoyed and to lesser opponents. Oregon go lucky. Last week. Boise state may be a better opponent than the beavs. We will find out. But the ducks aren't going to be playing home. I think this game means more for the beavs than the ducks I think the beavs harness that energy and win a close one.
