Do you think Oregon needed a road test like this before the playoff?

8 games without a bye, most in college football this year. Ducks are tired and beat up. We get our rest week this week. Crush the Dawgs at home, then time for the B1G title game.

OREGON, THE ONLY TEAM IN BIG10 TO PLAY 8 STRAIGHT CONFERENCE GAMES without a bye.... ONLY TEAM..

Dillon Gabriel is to short and throws left handed. Both bad things for a quarterback. Tell me a left handed quarterback that's good who is not Tua. who is probably concussed again.

These two boy probably never play real football they don't know what being tired and beat up does to a offensive you lose that step and being good is not there these two need to find a professional life may be grading the high school cheer leader. No real input of knowing the game. You for get that Oregon has travel a lot of distance in the last three week . We all here in Oregon knew they were very tired watch there play it's very obviously tired.

Dillion just isn't it. He can't pass the ball down the field without the man being wide open. All the passing around the LOS isn't going to work against teams that have speed and athletes on defense.

You are literally incorrect with everything you have said. Go look at the stats man… how many yards did they put up against Ohio states top defense? Oregon was down 8 players, Wisconsin had 0. Look at the box scores. We are doing better than any other team with every opponent we face… even with Wisconsin having one of the best nickel and dime defenses in the country we put up 200 passing yards with one of our slot receivers hurt and the other moved to corner…. Gabriel was tied for most accurate deep ball last year, and his 40+ yard throws past the line of scrimmage is over 60%… you have NO fucking idea what you are talking about. He’s a top 5 QB on the top rated offense with the top rated OC. Your opinion is subjective truth. He is one of the all time leaders in big game win percentage.

As someone who watches the ducks that is the point of the offense. They do this because check downs work. It also allows them to break out for big shots down the field against big opponents like OSU. They did the same with Nix. The play calling is vanilla and it’s probably because the coaches and team underestimated Wisconsin. Wisconsin came in playing hard and had an additional week to plan their scheme.

It worked against Ohio State.

He does have deep ball accuracy in terms of deep ball sideline throws in 1 on 1 coverage. He completed a beautiful deep ball with perfect placement in the Wisconsin game last night. He is consistently off target though with his intermediate throws (10-19 yards downfield). A lot of it is due to his lack of height. He reminds me a lot of a Russell Wilson. Similar in size and mobility and limitations passing, but he still does have some talent. He has been greatly aided (as his career college stats demonstrate) by having really good WRs in his career who have been able to adjust and make good catches on his off target intermediate throws to boost his YPG stats and completion percentage. Stein has done a great job in playing to DG’s strengths with his play calling. I see DG as being a later round pick in the draft, and who knows if he will ever end up being as good as Wilson at the next level.
