The concept of the cake is lovely however the cake layers appear dry. Perhaps you could have moistened them with a syrup, liqueur or fruit... preserves

It is a a good cake but too rich for my taste. Maybe I just don’t like cream cheese in regular cake and that would be a personal thing. If you love cakes with cream cheese in the frosting this cake has a lovely texture!
