When watching through this I noticed that Virgil said “do not allow him or any of his friends to stick around that long ever again” at 40:53 ish What did Virgil mean by *his friends* ?are there more dark sides? Does deceit have friends? Are more characters going to be revealed since deceit has had his own proper video now? Who knows. Also just a note for anyone interested. When Deceit was Patton in the other video he had the cardigan on instead of the cat jumper and when he was Logan he had the old tie instead of the new one. That might be his “So the audience can tell I’m deceit” thing or it might change since he took notes on it. Basically expect him to impersonate Roman in one of the next 5? Sanders sides videos. I don’t think it would be Virgil he would notice it sooner.

Coming back 5 years later to follow this up and express how much the ending of this episode honestly frustrates me personally. Not Roman making the choice he did, I understand why he ultimately did that (Even if I side with the callback), and I get why he later acted the way he did at the end of the follow up. I mean how they all seem to just disregard Janus at the end as if he was completely wrong just because of the choice Roman made. Like the moment they left the court room they were no longer listening to what he was saying or more so they weren't really taking him seriously anymore. Aside from his last remarke more or less. The same thing does kind of happen in Putting Others First once he reveals himself. They didn't seem to want to listen to him until Thomas was clearly hurt, and even after, when he make the life gaurd point, they don't focus on what he meant but rather a really irrelivant 'error' with it. Thomas says he gets what he meant before redoing the point of course, but that part still felt a little frustrating to see in the moment haha. Part of me almost feels like there had to be some point where Janus came to the conclusion that no one seems interested in hearing him out. He's really intelligent in his own right, but the only times people have listened have been when he's pretended to be someone else, or when he's forced control. (But untimitly they find out it's him and all or atleast one person still refuses to listen.) There could be nothing really there, but his reasons for going about things the way he choses to interests me, Cause unlike Remus he does cleary have thought out intention in everything he does and says. If we ever get background, like whether this method started from something or just was his way from the start, I'd be fascinated to dive into that. There's a whole thought about Logan/Roman that came to me too, but It's so difficult for me to explain what I mean really. And I remember feeling this way the first time I saw the episode as well. I almost wonder if the follow up's end would have been any different if Virgil was around just because of how against Janus he is.

It makes sense that Logan and Roman has control of one arm each. The left side of the brain is in control of analitical and logical thought, along with language function ect. The right side of the brain controls creative and imaginative thought. Each side of the brain also controls the opposite side of the body. So the right side of the brain controls the body movements of the left side of the body while the left brain does the same for the right side.

Everyone is untrusting of deceit cause his 'name', what he does most of the time, and Virgil (auto-corrected to virgin). Those three reasons and the fact that it is hard to see that deceit is helping because of how he talks and cause of the generalized name given to him by Logan, Roman and Patton is 'Dark Sides' (I don't include Virgil in this cause he later just calles 'the dark sides' 'the others')

honestly, the callback is MUCH more important for thomas's future. the callback would really help his acting career and the wedding is just a bunch of useless memories he could get from watching a video of the event. im also afraid for virgil and patton. pattons becoming manipulative (and im pretty sure he dosen't mean to be) while virgil would rather do ANYTHING else than side with deceit. that may get him in trouble one of these days.

Exira the Otaku I didn’t want to start a bunch of discourse, but I pretty much agree. I don’t really see Deceit OR Remus as inherently bad tbh. They aren’t at all fighting the fact that they’ve been dubbed “the dark sides”, but I don’t really think that they would honestly agree whole heartedly that they have nothing but bad intentions. But, even though I don’t doubt that we have probably 2 more characters to reveal before any sort of redemption arc, (I’m just guessing that they would make the amount of sides equal), I’m still looking forward to seeing how Thomas goes about accepting them. Even if lots of people don’t think they will get any sort of redemption arc.
