At the very end of the video at 1:05:18, why didn't the chlorine turn the alkane into an alkene? Why was it a pyridine instead of the chlorine? Thank you so much for making these videos, I would be failing orgo without them

2 reasons: [1] pyridine is more basic than the chloride ion [2] there's significantly more pyridine relative to the amount of chloride ion generated in solution
