How does the economy feel to you? This is the comparison to Banished requiring a market for distribution of goods and a trade post that is needed due to not being able to get all the resources and vs Manor lords to how trading is essential for towns to survive and the economy isn't exactly infinite on certain resources. Or is this truly just a casual city builder game?

The economy feels pretty awesome to me. It's definitely possible to have difficulties and challenges later on as your city begins to grow in size. The logistics of making sure everyone has access to trade, church and water will be quite daunting unless the city is planned well! I personally enjoy the way City Tales does economy, it's not too over the top when it comes to simulation like other titles.
