Humbly, here are my amateur observations. 1/ the addition of salt produced an over abundance of metal chlorides. 2/ the solution was saturated and did not complete the recovery. 3/ the chlorides forced you to use a coarse filter, to allow the chlorides to pass, resulting in your finest gold passing too. As seen in the plastic sieve at "939" in the video........ Having said that, it's possible to maybe use a very fine filter, (cotton ball and funnel) and try non cloudy ammonia to dissolve the chlorides through the filter? The addition of an air bubbler may speed the reaction due to adding oxygen/oxidiser. You need more volume of liquid to prevent saturation. I trust this may work and helps you as i have not tried it. Ewaste has so many metals it's a fair challenge. Regards and many thanks. I enjoy your channel for its low tech, experimental nature.

@snoddyification Thank you for your detailed observations! I really appreciate the time you took to analyze the process. Your points about the metal chlorides, solution saturation, and filtration are spot on. Using a finer filter like a cotton ball and funnel, along with non-cloudy ammonia and an air bubbler, sounds like a practical approach to improve the process. I haven’t tried that method myself, but it’s definitely worth exploring, especially with the challenges of dealing with the diverse metals in e-waste.Your feedback is invaluable as I continue to experiment with different methods, like using tamarind extract for gold recovery. It's viewers like you who help refine these techniques. Thanks again for your support-I'm glad you enjoy the low-tech, experimental nature of the channel!

Would eny acidic fruit work, like say apple or citrus?
@LoneStarBassPursuit3 ай бұрын
Lemon I bet would work great
@TrinityGoldRecovery3 ай бұрын
Great question! Not all acidic fruits work for gold extraction. While citric acid can be effective, many organic acids, like those from fruit juices, can cause the solution to spoil or become less effective. It’s the specific type and concentration of acid that matters for successful extraction. Stay tuned for more details in my upcoming videos!

@@TrinityGoldRecovery Oki :) It would make life easier and cheaper if could use fruit acids due to big changes in local laws that makes well chemical less faroviable due to taxization increases -.-'
@TrinityGoldRecovery3 ай бұрын
@asf130thecompany7 Absolutely, the idea of using fruit acids is creative, but the stability and consistency of the process is key. While it would be cheaper, maintaining effectiveness is essential, and unfortunately, natural acids can be a bit unpredictable in a controlled setting. Maybe a blend with other methods could help balance cost and efficiency. It's all about finding that sweet spot! 🍋⚖️

Hello Sir, I have a question. Is it possible to recover gold from pcb with gold plated pads (not covered by tin) and also with tin soldered pads on the same board. I have put few pcb board into the jar with vinegar, salt and H2O2, but after 3 weeks I have only white mud. Gold is not separeted. Is it possible?
@TrinityGoldRecovery3 ай бұрын
The vinegar method already exists on my channel. If you’re referring to that, grinding might not be necessary. Let me know what you're trying to achieve, and I can guide you better!

@@TrinityGoldRecovery I would like to recover gold not covered witchsolder, but I think tin soldering make vinegar and salt too weak solution. Should I separate gold plated parts from soldered parts? To be clear, on the pcb I have pure gold pads and pads with solder. I would like to recover only this pure gold pads.
@TrinityGoldRecovery3 ай бұрын
Hi @partyzant876, yes, separating the gold-plated pads from the soldered pads would be a good idea. The vinegar and salt solution might not be as effective on soldered areas due to the tin. By separating them, you can focus on the gold-plated pads with a more efficient method for gold recovery. Let me know if you need any more guidance!

If you can i want you to extract pure gold without chemicals. Because where I'm from Im not allowed to use any chemicals. If i want extract pure gold i need Aqua reign that I can't do here.
@TrinityGoldRecovery3 ай бұрын
I understand your situation and the restrictions you're facing. Extracting pure 24k gold without using any chemicals is indeed challenging, especially from e-waste. Tamarind extract, as I demonstrated, can help recover gold from gold-plated PCBs, but it won't achieve the purity of 24k gold on its own. Recovery and refining are two different processes-while recovery can be done with natural methods like tamarind, refining to achieve pure gold requires the use of chemicals like nitric acid or aqua regia.Unfortunately, without those chemicals, getting pure gold isn’t feasible. But I’m always exploring safer and more accessible methods, so stay tuned! Thanks for your interest and support!

Don't know where you are, but if there are compounding pharmacies or construction demo nearby, you might see if they can help when you show them what it's for. You could even offer to partner with them, letting them have a small percentage of what's recovered in exchange for the materials and/or putting a recycle box at their location for folks to drop off electronics.
