It's actually quite refreshing that you show the reality of designing a space for most people! Sometimes you have to see it first and feel out what works & what is "off'" and then change accordingly. It can be a slow process. BUT just know you are such an exquisite designer and artist of yourself! In the way you present yourself, your chose of clothes, hair, makeup, nails, etc. all so beautifully aesthic... and it seems to come easy to you! So we all have our strengths :) xoxo

Love the green. ❤ Thank you for being so transparent about your process and showing that your human. I totally get it. So many people on social media platforms just show us the “perfect” picture not how it comes together even though it’s usually not so instant. This is why we appreciate you and your content 😊

I am enjoying seeing your room evolve, and appreciate that you are using a lot of your existing furnishings and decor in new and different ways. I feel you are a very creative person, and of course making changes can take time and experimentation. The good thing is that you are finding joy in the process, and that ultimately brings peace and satisfaction with the outcome. Lovely to see your cat so cozy, and wishing you a great weekend 💞☺

It is refreshing to see someone almost decorate in real time. I did my bedroom a few years ago and it took me days to paint it. I thought there was something wrong with me...but then I realised I am only human and not a professional painter. I have been enjoying you bedroom makeover series. God bless you and all those you hold near and dear in your heart. Love Rachel

I’ve really enjoyed watching you find a vision and design for this space (even across multiple videos). I put them on to motivate and clean/tidy with you! You’ve made such a cozy and relaxing space. I don’t have a space of my own right now to paint and design but this gives me some ideas for when I do! 🌿💛 Also - thank you for opening up at the end. We’d never know and it’s helpful to be reminded that we all have struggles.

I've been in my house since 2009 and still haven't finished my backyard because I don't know what I want back there! I change my mind often and am glad I haven't done anything I would hate. I am also trying to rework my office and not finding the right stuff/arrangement. Your videos are great because they are real life! I love seeing your process.

I love this, and two things really stood out to me at the end: 1, you said that you love making these kinds of videos. That's really your answer right there, if you love making this type of content, you should keep doing it for as long as it's fun for you! 2, I am very similar to you and seeing you over the years decorate and redecorate and think your space through has really validated me and my own process, so I for one really enjoy getting to come along the journey and prefer it to just simple before and after, because I don't work like that either. ❤

Love this content! I am the same, I love interior design and organising and cleaning, but it takes me forever to decide one how I want things to look, and then and takes forever to find the things that I like, so I think your videos show a very realistic view on design. Please don't think you have to get everything right first time, there's so much joy in the process!

I really appreciate the process. It’s probably because I feel very similar to you in that you need time to work things out. They say it's much better for your mental health and overall success to embrace every project as a path with trial and error. Honestly I think people who only show 'after' are not exactly liars but subject to that 'social media picture perfect' which is detrimental for others. I very much enjoy your videos because they are honest and realistic (I was never taught how to take care of a house/apartment, and the space where I live is very old and sometimes falling apart, so ALL your surroundings already look 1000000+++ times better than whatever I can make with mine, but that's a whole other story). I really appreciate you sharing the process of improving your life, improving your surroundings and finding ways to make things work, not just 'Hi, it's me, I'm perfect'.

I really like your videos and I like the "work in progress" type of videos in general! honestly, it makes me feel less incompetent if I can't figure my visions out or when it takes me literally years until I'm happy with the result! And I don't mean that in a negative way, I can understand it can be a struggle for you because I also have symptoms of ocd, what I mean is that I feel bad if someone presents a perfect make over in one go and call it a day, I always wonder what's wrong with me, why I can't do that. So it's really helpful and nice to see that it doesn't always have to be like that and results can be amazing even if it took longer or multiple trials! thank you for sharing your authentic style and work progress, I really appreciate it! ❤

You are so beautiful. I love the green walls, rug, and new white, pretty bedding. Really pops with the green walls. The clear makeup and pencil holders are cool-I like the clear better, too. Your cat 🐈 looked so cozy sleeping and so cute. What is his name? I enjoy watching the process of before and after and you thinking things through. Things on sm can look so perfect, and that is not always the reality so I like how you show bringing it together, making changes, etc. Maybe get a pillow for the bed with white and the green color of the wall or a very bright color for some fun. Taping helps avoid a mess-you did great! I love your vlogs.

Those before and after videos are really fun to watch but I always have a nagging thought in the back of my mind with thoughts such as something not being practical, or last long and so on. And it’s easier to just ‘dress’ a place (I used to take pics for interior decorators who dressed properties in order to help sell them. They looked great but there was no soul. For our homes, and those of designers, it takes at least around a year just to live in the pace to gauge things and then add and evolve as you live. I prefer your videos and process as it’s much more realistic. Also, some of us (me) can’t afford to buy everything in one go, so it’s useful to see things being re painted or taking a minute to buy. Phew! Sorry for long comment! 🤣 Your p Room has transformed soo much already! And looking so put together. You don’t have much left til you can relax with it. 💚🙏🏻

I think the majority of those "makeover shows" fail to show the agonising over choices, or trying to find the perfect piece, and set unrealistic standards. Personally, I can usually "see" the end result that I want, but it still takes forever to achieve, whether it's because of budget constraints, time constraints or ability constraints. Even once you're done, you're never done, so don't feel bad that you're not showing us some unrealistic 2 day makeover. Love the green walls, looking forward to the white door 😅

Totally agree. One time back in 2019, Rachel Aust and I were on a reno show with Bunnings and we had to do the living room.
