The AG is definitely on the wrong side of his gunner, the AG should always be on the left, or feed side, of the Machine gunner. Not a good idea to have to reach across the gun to link a belt on the fly, or to have the belt run across the gun. Had to get that off my chest, it was bugging me.
@IopuaauahiPapale4 жыл бұрын
ag can be where he wants to be; they're not attached at the hip. you can see he's prone unsupported so they're about to move with at least 50 rounds already loaded.

50% security. If nobody's watching for the enemy, the enemy could sneak right up on to the patrol and kill them all. With security out, the guys doing their thing will have a small bit of security to do so. Reason for 50% is because more would severely diminish combat power. You need as many guns shooting at the attacker as possible. If that 50% opens up, the other half will have time to react and get into the fight as well.

What is the minimum amount can you use for a patrol and whom would it consist of?

I have a question, why is it that no more than half of the patrol is allowed to eat at any time? Is it because at least half the patrol needs to be prepared in case of an ambush or one of the small patrols finds enemy's in the area?

General rule " one foot on the ground at anyone time" Basically When you are defenseless you have a buddy watching you ready to shoot. Battle pair principle.
@rlbug865 жыл бұрын
I know I'm really late on this but best way I can describe it is you want 360 degrees of security at all times. If every other guy takes a break to eat or rest you still have that. Anything more you get holes in your security.

I have to say, I've watched some 1942 black and white training films, and they are pedagogically much better than this. This has fancy animations, but that's about it. The black and white short films didn't complicate things with unnecessarily long word constructs, made breaks between statements to let people recapitulate, and, most importantly, repeated and reviewed their points several times. As a teacher, I have to say, after watching this, I don't remember anything
